Not to be confused with the Refugio Resciesa this mountain-side restaurant/lodge is well below the tree-line. Very cute inside the bar area and lots of that mountain-woodsy feel to the place. The strudel was quite good with our coffees and the lady serving us was gracious. A large southern exposure balcony is the place to be on a warm sunny winter day. We took the funicular train up the mountain hoping for views above the tree line although not the case you do have a terrific long range view of the Saslong across the valley. The clouds around the dramatic rock peak gave it a sort of Mount Mordor feel straight out of Lord of the Rings novels. 20 euros for return ticket or if you already have a dolomiti ski pass then it's covered. In winter best reason for going up there is to hire a sled at the base station and "luge" down the trail to the half way station and repeat the trip. Lots of giggling teens and squealing kids with Mom and Dad can attest to that. Look closely in the forest as train climbs the slope; we saw several deer grazing in the forest.

Need to visit this place! Staff is brilliant, friendly and kind! Fresh squeezed orange juice is really FRESH..espresso is brilliant, it is Musetti. Pizza margarita is also very good, and you may try sandwiches. Atmosphere is relaxed..go after skiing, or for the breakfast there, you won't regret!

Price quality ratio not quite good. Food isnât bad, but should definitely improve for the price they charge. Menu is a mixture of different styles, local, international, all ok, but nothing is really special. Interior is nicely done, very modern and design, but thereâs no real cosy feel to the place. Plus is the underground parking!

Wonderful place, especially on a sunny day. I came by several times hesitating if it is worth wasting time for lunch. Finally I stopped there and it was really worth it. Although there are so many people the service is very quick (that was important for me), the dishes are very tasty. The next time I came to this area I didn't hesotate to stop and enjoy it there. Highly recommended.
