Hier kann man zünftig einkehren und kann die prima hausgemachten Speisen und Getränke verkosten. Man merkt schnell den Unterschied zwischen Massenware und den hier vor Ort produzierten Produkten. Besonders der Speck von den direkt am Hof groÃgezogenen Schweinen, sowie der hauseigene Wein und erst recht die am Hof destillierten Schnäpse und Liköre munden ausgezeichnet. Dazu kommt eine herzliche Gastfreundschaft der Hausherren, die den Aufenthalt zu einem rundum gelungenen Abend machen!

Il locale si trova a 5 minuti di macchina al di sopra di Chiusa prima di arrivare a Villandro paese.Si può mangiare sia all'interno sia all'esterno rispettivamente in atmosfera molto ristica e curata o con vista spettacolare sulla valle.Cameriere gentili, cibo tipico altoatesino buono.Mangiato taglieri, canederli e Schutzkrapfen e dulcis in fundo uno strudel di pasta frolla, tutto buono.

We went here for a dinner. The restaurant is in the center of Lajon, it has traditional atmoaphere. House wine is great and very cheap and the food was delicious! we had ravioli and goulash and both was really good. The waiters speak little English and they have English menu. All in all I would recommend trying this one.

Wir haben von Villlanders aus eine Wanderung zu den Dreikirchen gemacht. Eigentlich hatten wir geplant in Barbiano eine Rast zu machen, doch es gefiel uns hier so gut, dass wir spontan entschlossen auf der Sonnenterrasse vom Messnerhof eine Pause einzulegen. Die Wirtin ist ein Unikat. Mit sehr trockenem Humor und ohne Schnörkel hat sie uns zwei, drei Gerichte genannt und wir haben uns, Gott sei Dank, für die unglaublich guten Käseknödel entschieden. Der Blick in die Dolomiten tut sein übriges. Hinterher mussten wir auch noch die Buchweizentorte und den Apfelstrudel mit einer Tasse Kaffee genieÃen. Zu unserer Ãberraschung wurden wir nach einem weiteren sehr netten Plausch mit der Wirtin noch zu einem "Schnapserl" eingeladen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und das Essen war einfach nur saugut. Natürlich haben wir uns die drei Kirchen auch noch angeschaut. Sollten die Kirchen abgeschlossen sein, so bekommt man die Schlüssel im Messnerhof. Fazit: So macht Südtirol richtig SpaÃ.

Very interesting and stylish place with good quality food and drinks. The staff is very polite and accurate at their job. I very much appreciated the fact they served little appetizers with my aperitivo, which seems to be an optional in this area. There are two nice courtyards to one side and the other of the restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant.Dear amohel2016,thank you for your review!
