Once an old bunker, itâs now a resplendent new service center at the new versciaco train station, the portal to the ski resort. an ultra-modern facility offering visitors ski pass sales, ski school, ski hire, ski storage, shop, restaurant and apres-ski ar
After a cross-country skiing tour, this place was Heaven! I drank an incredible hot chocolate and I also had the most amazing cappuccino I've had lately. Prices were incredibly low in comparison to all the other bars/ apres skis I've seen in Austria. Staff always made sure that everything was all right + they fluently spoke Italian, German and English. All in all - best Apres Ski :)Hello,Thank you for your great review. We are happy that you enjoyed your time with us and we are looking forward to your next visit. The Punka staff

When we arrived on the first day we were looking for somewhere to eat quickly and reasonably, we thought about buying the raw ingredients from the on-site supermarket but not for long. Wife went and looked over restaurant and came back and said its busy and may take some time for a meal. She had had a quick look art the Tavern menu and felt a meal there would be quicker and suit what we were looking for , good hot food at reasonable prices, but QUICKLY.The lady in charge found us a place quickly despite it looking fairly busy at that time of night and we hadn't booked a table. Wife had the menu of the day Tyrolean small dished but each were exquisite and wonderful when I was offered a taste. My dish was basically a one pot traditional re-offering of a roast dinner and was just what was needed, tasty loaded with Tyroloean sauce and appetising - protein and carbs!! washed down the Heffe Dunkels Wessen and a shared carafe of local white wine.Excellent - we retired to our beds full and satisfied and slept like zombies!!! due to the alttitude mainly.

The Food and choice is very nice. Regional menu. Best Pizza you can find in the whole region. For Dining and a nicer atmosphere reserve a table in the restaurant. Only disadvantage - the Restaurant has no windows - but the ambience is nice from my point of view.

After a nearby hike we wanted a hearty lunch. Big, varied menu. Good pizza choices. Salad bar not particularly big but fresh, would not reorder the salad bar. However, the grilled chicken we had was 3 delicious grilled chicken breasts with big stack of good fries and grilled vegetables, lovely! We had a pizza, thin crust lots of cheese and black olives, quite good. Not high end fine dining but really perfect casual dining. Enjoyed an Aperol Spritz, perfect service, great atmosphere for couples of families.

So far I took two meals: a pizza and a typical one. Both were really, really good. The service is all good also, a very kind and helpful crew. The price is absolutely fair also. I certainly recommend the Mondschein ;)

We have bee twice during our month long holiday in Sexten. Both times our pizzas were great with high quality mozzarella cheese (from the aside milk factory) and very good preparation and cooking. One of the waitresse told us that the pizza chef is from Southern Italy and this circumstance of course helps a lot in making excellent pizzas. Once we had also a dessert of canederli made with ricotta cheese and filled with nougat chocolate, which was quite average but tasty. Service is rather simple but prompt and efficient. A good adress for a pizza meal in Pustertal.

The pizza is fine. You are in italy, they won't mess up the pizza. but the waiter was a piece of work. he brought pizza for the kids uncut and we asked if he could slice. he quite literally groaned and looked at the ceiling. Her returned ten minutes later (we timed it) with a pizza cutter and then never returned to our table again. We had to get up and chase him for the bill and then he tried that famous European line "the credit card machine is broken" . Now you get this lie in Europe all the time but on top of the rest of his performance, it was just too much.
