We went to this restaurtant many times, both in the summer and in winter and we always went out satisfied in our body and soul! Pitschlmann offers a very high quality food (typical local food but also deviations to the standard menu and they are always trying to accomodate your needs if you ask for something particular) in a very welcoming, warm location. The courses are generous and very tasteful but not too heavy. The owners are extremely nice and smiling and the prices are honest. On summer Fridays they propose a buffet mixed grilled that is really fantastic. Check the opening days before going (in low season it may be closed). The owners also run a very nice lunch restaurant in a mervellous place with great mountains sight at the "Malga Tuff", reachable through an inspiring walk from Fié: a perfect location to spend a day.

When the Holzner was inaugurated back in 1908, the spirit of optimism and joy was in the air. This Art Nouveau spirit is the atmosphere you'll find in our restaurant, 1908. The renowned architect-duo BergmeisterWolf blend their contemporary design experti
We had a wonderful meal here, in a relaxed environment, with great service. We had a selection of wines, all of which were great. I loved the amuse bouche and the smoked eel starter. Every mouthful of food was amazing, it was a special treat thanks to our parents.

This restaurant is conveniently located near the town center. You can dine inside or there is a lovely patio area too. The food is really good - rustic Mediterranean - lots of fresh pasta dishes (like one with shaved truffles) - huge portions -great value - great service....and they have food for celiacs. This place was recommend to us by some tour guides who go there whenever they are in town and I too highly recommend it.Everyone we met who worked at the restaurant spoke Italian, German, and English and so help with the menu was easy.

Started with a glass of wine on the terrace enjoying a spectacular view of the Dolomites.Food was really very very good, with a lot of customising to accommodate gluten and lactose allergies. Chose the asparagus (cooked perfectly al dente), ham and potato, as well as the "Tris" - combination of freshly made savoury dumplings and a kid of ravioli. We returned a couple of days later and were offered an off-the-menu Porterhouse steak which was simply sublime. The wines are also very good.Took our dogs with us, no problem.Had eaten in a "posh" restaurant in Nose and other restaurants in the Ritten area, but nothing could compare with Haidgerberhof.

We stopped here for lunch after a walk around Renon. Food was okay, nothing special. The service was excellent and friendly. The Weiner Schnitzel was dry and came with very few potatoes. Seemed a bit impoverished. The ravioli was too oily. I would go back here because it was certainly not a disaster but for Italy the food was marginal.

The place is nine centuries old. Fully refurbished inside.Altitude 1,300 meters : perfect almost for everyone. You may reach the place from Munich,Germany or Verona,Italy, with fast train . Alois/Luigi ,the hotel director will send you a chauffeur to the Bolzano railway station. 25 minutes later you will be in the middle of an outstanding place. Prices are above the average for the area but take in consideration that one full course per day is included. The quality of food is simply outstanding. Gourmet .The breakfast is really rich and the free Renon Card will let you travel in all the Province without paying anything. As I said the place is perfect if you need to rest, trekking, Perfect for kids: being a huge area in the forest totally car free. Not good for millenials looking for disco, nightlife etc. Book well in advance.

It is fair to say that South Tirol is one the most beautiful regions all over Europe. Coming here professionally for some months gave us the opportunity to celebrate a family birthday. Living in Canada and having four generations of family distributed all over Europe, this indeed was a unique chance to come together (and much cheaper than inviting all of them to Canada). Staying in Klobenstein near Bolzano, we visited a number of places and finally find THE one matching all our expectations for the birthday party: The Pfos-Hof. Nicely located with breath-taking views at the surrounding Dolomites, this place has it all: Excellent cuisine made from their own farm products, cosy rooms for indoor and or sitting outside on the sun deck, a flavour of history, and most importantly the excellent service provided by Jacob and Monica Gamper and their team. The home-made Schlutzkrapfen were unbeatable, and so was the main course with variants from ox with a lot of local vegetables. Of course, in the desert section, we did not miss the famous Apfelstrudel (with or without ice cream). Needless to say, all courses were accompanied by tasteful regional wines and Italian coffee. Delicious!Staying there for both lunch and dinner, the surroundings gave us good chances to spend the time in between. We could walk around in the colourful mountain meadows, or play with the kids, or simply relax on one of the sun chairs standing around. The dinner was another highlight. It offered a diversity of local specialities. The whole stay at Pfos-Hof was a unique experience that we will never forget. Thanks to Jacob and Monica for hosting us!

i visited patscheider hof for lunch with my son. it is a beatuful old house on the mountains and as a fantastic view. very simple decoration but the point here is service and food. we ordered tirol plate (local cured meat and cheese), tagliatelle with venison ragu, a local meal caled gröstl and wiener schnitzel. they have their own vineyards and as a result their own wine, which served with the meal. everything were delicious and wine tasted light but ok with the food. schnitzel was extraordinary good. i tasted once or twice in my life such a soft and juicy meat at schnitzel. so, if you plan to drive to the mountains i strongly recommend to stop here for lunch.

The food was not great - a salad tasted like it had been made from tinned tuna rather than fresh food. Service was very slow and then the waiter arrived with the wrong number of drinks. Its a beautiful building with frescoes on the outside, well located near the market but avoid.
