Reviews on Italian food in Corvara in Badia, Province of South Tyrol, Italy. About 50 miles northeast of Trento, Corvara in Badia is the principle town of Alta Badia, a ski resort area at the top end of the Val Badia Valley in Bolzano-Bozen. Home to many alpine skiing World Cup events, the gorgeous mountain region also has many lovely towns and beautiful sights not on the normal beaten tourist path, such as the Sante Croce pilgrimage church and the Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor (Little Ladin Museum), honoring the unique Dolomite culture of the local Ladin people.

The restaurant tries to be a gourmet place but only gets half way. The service is good enough and the presentation of the dishes is nice, but the taste does not justify the price.

We stopped here a few times during our week in Alta Badia and it was enjoyable each time. One day we had a delicious lunch on their deck, basking in the sun, looking out over the mountains. Typical tyrolean ambience with ladin specialities. Opened every day for lunch and dinner.
When we got tired of the food at our hotel (which was included in the half-board package), so we decided to try this place. First clue of quality: it was a very quiet night in town after a very busy weekend, almost no one around, and the Adlerkeller was going to be full. We just squeaked in. We both had the barley soup âexcellentâand for mains I had the Stinco Maiale (leg of pig) and my wife had ravioli. Mine was exceptional, very tender, very flavorful, like Osso Bucco minus the sauce and risotto. My wifeâs ravioli was a little bitter to our taste, although others around us ordered it also and seemed to enjoy. We skipped dessert, but these guys have a great selection of grappa (if you know your grappas, and I like to think I do) so we had one of the Berta offerings and it was terrific. Cozy atmosphere, great service, really good glass of wine, great evening.

The Ãtia CrÑp de Munt is located in the Dolomites, above Corvara. Skiing, you can reach it from the famous Sellaronda. Our dishes are local.
After a long morning ski, we had lunch on the terrasse of this fantastic place. The views to the valley are breathtaking.Staff was very helpful. WE enjoy several local specialties. We arrive just before 12:00 and we were very lucky to get a table outside with a fantastic view.

We stopped and had a late lunch outdoors at the White Wolf. Breathtaking scenery, beautiful weather, great service. And the food! The food shows the cross-country heritage of a place that might be equal parts Italy, Germany and Austria. My grigliata mista was quite good, but the absolute hit of the meal was the polenta con formaggio & fughi. Grilled perfectly, with the tiniest bit of crust, there was just the right mix of crunch and melt-in-your-mouth lusciousness in every single bite. In our family, we tend to share a few bites of everyone's meal, but today it was practically a showdown as to who would get the most of this wonderful delight! Oh, and did I mention the scenery? Wow. We loved our stop at the Wellness Hotel!
