The Pizzeria Biwak is offering pizza of an amazing size, delicious as it could be! They have an awesome selection of all different kinds of pizza! Of course their menu is not only offering pizza! It includes antipasti, pasta, meat and fish dishes too!The service is very attentive and friendly, the beer is cold!!!Weâll be back!

Locale con ambiente speciale e cucina tipica tirolese con prodotti fatti in casa. - Pasti caldi a pranzo e cena. - Aperto solo sabato e domenica
Down to Earth good food and local beers at very competitive prices. It was relatively empty when we were there which was a shame but perfect if you just want good food (and happen to be staying 2 mins away in the excellent Goldener Löwe!).

We go more often to take some pastry with home or to eat for the midday meal. Every time perfect! The choice of the cakes and small pastry is so numerous the the owner had to put a second glassbox. The service is fast. The midday menu is really tasty and exquisite. For ca. 11 Euro you become a small salad and a plate with 2 different dishes for the main course. The place were the restaurant is situated is perfectly restored and has a historical flair.

we ate here one evening, during our visit to the advent market. Food was very good - I had an excellent Wiener Schnitzel with a generous salad from the salad buffet. Prices were reasonable compared to other places in Vipiteno, which is generally above average price-wise. Service was quick and pleasant, but the restaurant was not busy when we visited. It has an easy-going ambience and is situated off the main street. Would recommend to anyone looking for a mid-range restaurant.

Welcome to our family-run bar / restaurant. We serve you with local and Italian dishes. Furthermore you have a big choose of South Tyrolean beers. We are located in the middle of the main street from our small City Sterzing. We have also a terrace.
Sterzing/Vipiteno turned out to be a very nice alternative to lunch in Brenner. The town itself is nice, with a Tyrolean feel, and very pretty. The restaurant is affiliated with a hotel and somewhat modern but with lots of wood. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. I had what they called their "favorite" menu item, a 3-pasta dish, with spinach ravioli and 2 dumplings, plus pumpkin soup. All were tasty. The portion sizes are large. They do have an English menu. Prices were very reasonable. The town has a city parking lot nearby so access is easy. All in all, a great lunch stop.Dear Mr. maiersm, thanks for your rating on TripAdvisor. We are very happy that you were soddisfied with your visit in our restaurant. Thanks for this good rating and we would be glad to welcome you us our guest again soon.Best regards,Hotel Lamm

The rewarding view across parts of the Alps, the friendly service and the typical local food is definitely worth the approximately 3 hours lasting steep hike to the Prantneralm! For the lazy ones or people with problems hiking there is a road from the valley which takes you all the way up to this gem!Thank you very much for your kind review!

Restaurant from noon to 10.00 P.M.
Strolling around Vipiteno/Sterzing, I spotted this bar with tables outside and managed to get the last one. Delicious local wines by the glass - one to be had perusing the menu, and a second with the fantastic burrata and local tomatoes.Finding myself nearby again the following day, I headed straight back there for lunch. Burrata and local tomatoes again. Just as delicious, but very different tomatoes, obviously that day's fresh delivery.Recommended.

In the Gourmetstube Einhorn our chef Peter Girtler creates exclusive sensations for the palate whereas in the Gasthofstube Stafler old South Tyrolean recipes are combined with ideas from modern Italian cuisine, resulting in deliciously original creations.
We stayed here one night on the way home and we enjoyed our stay very much.Although we came for the Einhorn restaurant the rooms in the hotel, the garden, the sauna and especially the service of the staff we appreciated highly. The hotel price is very reasonable when compared with e.g. the center of Merano where we stayed in two hotels. From 15 to 17 hrs there is free tea and coffee with sweets. The breakfast in the morning is great, eggs in any form you wish, fruit, cakes, cheeses, meat, espresso/cappuccino, tea, juice, very complete! What made a nice surprise was that when we just finished our breakfast we got a small birthday cake (the staff had noticed from my passport that it was my birthday): it tasted delicious. The two star restaurant Einhorn is worth it's rating. Two menus to choose from (or the combination of both) and superb wines accompanying the dishes. We had an enjoyable evening. We will probably go back during our next holiday in the area.Dear guest, thank you that you take the time to write such a fantastic valuation about our hotel. We are very happy that you enjoyed the holiday and that everything was fine!We would be glad to give you our warm welcome antother time! With the best regards,Family Stafler

After a misunderstanding via e-mails, four of us arrived without reservations in late December. We were surprised how remote the location was (up a narrow, winding road), and even more surprised to find the parking lot full. The restaurant was very rustic and cozy, and we were very disappointed to be informed that there were no tables available. After presenting a print-out of the e-mails I had exchanged with an employee, the owner greeted us and asked if we would be patient, enjoy an aperitif and browse in the little store, and he would accommodate us as soon as another party left. From that point on, the owner was extremely friendly and went out of his way to make us welcome. Our experience was very unlike an earlier reviewer who thought the staff were "snooty". The menu is limited based on what "Mama" is cooking that day.We were first presented with a beautiful anti-pasti platter consisting of all products produced from their own farm animals - carpaccio, roast beef, smoked venison, their "famous" home-made speck (a kind of bacon), and smoked sausage - along with a plate with four kinds of cheeses - and a big basket of breads. Herr Mair explained in English exactly what each item was. Having products with no chemicals or hormones is their passion. The restaurant has been open 33-years, and between the farm and the restaurant, he said they work 18-hours a day. Four family members work in the business with 16 additional staff. Next came a rich gulash soup made from "mountain cows" and a platter of home-made raviolis with cheese. By then we could hardly eat more, and requested SMALL portions of the main courses - which included spanferkel (suckling pig), lamb chops, "mountain cow" and, chicken. The chicken was the only item not produced on the farm, and it came from the farm of nearby friends. Everything was fresh and delicious. It was getting late (and dark), and we had an hour more to drive, so we opted not to have dessert. We were invited to go into their kitchen to have a look and to meet "Mama" (Frau Meir). There we found her busily hand-making knoedel of some sort.We all agreed it was a unique and enjoyable experience. We hope we will be back in the area someday, and would definitely make reservations and visit again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this area of the Dolomites - near Sterzing and Bolzano.
