After being in Italy for a over a week and sampling all that yummy pasta....it's good to have a change. We loved the authenticity of this Bavarian style restaurant. You can still order pizza and other favorites....along with our choices of delicious Schweinshaxn and an Octoberfest dinner! Delish beer and wine too.

Our party of seven, was accommodated quickly and efficiently. All ordered different dishes, all were very good and the portions were good size. Service was friendly and quick. Location is on the main street up two or three blocks from the park. There is an outside area if inside is too crowded. The payment process is unique. Go to the cashier and tell her what you had, each couple did the same, then you can either give her a tip or leave something on the table. It all seemed to be on your honesty as to what you ordered, interesting. Food very good, service very good, we were not rushed to eat and get out. Definitely a place to consider if in Bolzano.

My husband and I had a delightful meal outside on the patio. We started with Salami, cheese and bread. Delicious entrees included Salmon with Stir fried vegetables (yum), and Beef Ravioli. Menu has quite a variety of choices. Excellent wine accompanied our meal. A pleasant place to sit, relax with good food and wine, and people watch! Pleasant and attentive wait staff.

We ate here on the recommendation of our AirBnB host and we werenât disappointed! We all had pizza (lots to choose from) and we were pleased to see a kids option for â¬5 which was a huge improvement on our recent experience in Venice! The piazza is lovely in the early evening. The tiramisu was also excellent! Our meal cost â¬63 for 2 adult pizzas, one childrenâs pizza, a Fanta, a beer, an Aperol Spritz and three tiramisus.

We went to this restaurant because of recommendations in Tripadvisor. Our dinner turn out to be rather disappointing. The service was absolutely the worst part. Waiters were increribly arrogant for us with no clear reason. After taking our orders we didn't hear any word from the waiters. They didn't even tell us that we should pay our check to the counter. The taste of pizzas was average so this was a place not worth to visit.

Great experience.Food is just excellent, wine list is way beyond your imagination.Price is incredibly fair.I donât see how someone can complain because doesnât receive chips at 20:30 when you suppose to have dinner.Unfortunately we are surrounded by customers that should go to Macdonald and leave gastronomy to someone else.When you work in the business you can spot idiot customers from a review.If you want to have a great experience in Bolzano and really enjoy your time with an extensive and extraordinary wine list, this is definitely the place to be.The staff is super professional, knowledgeable, very kind and all of them knows what to do.If you miss this restaurant you really miss something.Thank you very much for the amazing dinner.

We were glad that we followed the other reviewers and stopped for dinner here. It was just what we were looking for: casual, inexpensive, and quite tasty. The roasted meat (I can not remember which "bratten" it was) and potatoes were excellent; tender meat, full flavored sauce, and plenty of thin sliced roasted potatoes. The turkey salad was tasty too; large portioned. With a bottle of water the bill totaled 27â¬; plenty of good food for the money. We did our best to navigate the Italian/German menu; an English speaking waiter was most helpful.

We booked for the Christmas Eve dinner, a set menu, and were asked to arrive at 7pm. The first course didnât arrive until 8.10, then two more courses in quick succession, then a half hour wait, then another course hot on its heels. Currently debating whether to stay for the final two courses. People all around us are looking pissed off, as are we. Itâs a disgrace.Dear Travellingpantaloni,Thank you very much for your feedback. Probably there was a misunderstanding about the starting time of the dinner. We arranged the aperitif in our foyer on the 1st floor at 7pm as a get together, in order to serve all the guests at the same time during dinner. We were looking for a place to enjoy dinner after a congress in Bolzano e we ended up with1 this place. From outside it looks like a small castle on the top of the hill. The garden outside before getting into are impressive and very well kept. Inside the atmosphere is magic. During both the first and second evening a blond waitress from Slovakia was so nice with us and she really took care of us, doing the maximum she could do for us and for our welfare and well staying. We really loved this place and we will come back again for sure. Price are competitive, considering the complicated preparations required for the dishes. Also the owner, a young guy, was paying attention to us and he always was checking if everything was going well. All that wine tasting makes a good grill sound like the right thing. In this case, the restaurant was exactly what we had hoped it would be. The interior is dark and cave-like but warmed by candle light, nice table settings and friendly service. My pasta course was delicious and the grilled meat very good. We all enjoyed the meal and would return without hesitation.
