Right next to the slopes and the bottom station of the Jochtal ski-region is our family business, the bar Pizzeria and restaurant Muhle in Valles in South Tyrol. The well-being of our guests, both adults and children, is particularly important to us here
We had dinner at this restaurant on our first night in Valles. It was so bad that we never went back, and we regretted spending one of our evenings there. I had the four-cheese pizza, which was more like a cheese fondue - the cheese was like a soup in the middle of the crust. My wife, who has a gluten-free diet, had the only gluten-free option on the menu: Spätzle. It was like porridge for babies - very bland and with a slimy consistency. I guess people go here for the apres-ski. That may be OK - the bar looked like it was hopping. Don't go here for a nice meal, though.

A fantastic location t the bottom of the slope looking up to the Kalcher Alm, you really can't beat the view especially on a sunny day.Lots of tables and deck chairs outside make it an ideal spot to take a breakReasonable prices with a good choice of drinks and food, ideal for a day on the mountain

Good pizza and also microbrewery. The place waa really busy but they still managed to make the pizza quickly. Overall really good.

We stopped off for a night in Sterzing and wandered off to find some food and drink. We ended up at the bar 12erl for beers. Complimentary crisps with the great tasting local beer. Good atmosphere as were others chatting away. Across the pavement they have additional seating area for daytime visitors for when it gets busy. Nice.

In the Gourmetstube Einhorn our chef Peter Girtler creates exclusive sensations for the palate whereas in the Gasthofstube Stafler old South Tyrolean recipes are combined with ideas from modern Italian cuisine, resulting in deliciously original creations.
We stayed here one night on the way home and we enjoyed our stay very much.Although we came for the Einhorn restaurant the rooms in the hotel, the garden, the sauna and especially the service of the staff we appreciated highly. The hotel price is very reasonable when compared with e.g. the center of Merano where we stayed in two hotels. From 15 to 17 hrs there is free tea and coffee with sweets. The breakfast in the morning is great, eggs in any form you wish, fruit, cakes, cheeses, meat, espresso/cappuccino, tea, juice, very complete! What made a nice surprise was that when we just finished our breakfast we got a small birthday cake (the staff had noticed from my passport that it was my birthday): it tasted delicious. The two star restaurant Einhorn is worth it's rating. Two menus to choose from (or the combination of both) and superb wines accompanying the dishes. We had an enjoyable evening.We will probably go back during our next holiday in the area.Dear guest,thank you that you take the time to write such a fantastic valuation about our hotel. Down to Earth good food and local beers at very competitive prices. It was relatively empty when we were there which was a shame but perfect if you just want good food (and happen to be staying 2 mins away in the excellent Goldener Löwe!).

Had some 20' for a short break and decided to spend them in this Backerei - Cafe. Went in to choose the cake, then to took a seat on a table outside. The waitress arrives quickly, addressing me first in German and in good Italian. Got a good cappuccino and an excellent poppy-seeds strudel.
