Hard to find (not that much actually it's just behind the railway station!) but worth the effort. Excellent, mostly local, products, large choice, cosy atmosphere, smiling welcome... reasonable prices... everything that is so rare in the area. Definitely our best bet so far in Bellinzona for quality. Be ready to listen carefully at the beginning of the meal as the menu is only communicated orally! Impressive choice of local wines.

We went here just last weekend for lunch after a long hike. Certainly not dressed for fine dining, but were greeted by the chef and owner Luigi Maiolo. We had the best gnocchi we've had in a very long time, with zafran sauce, and a wonderful platter of cold meat. I could imagine that the terrace is very romantic at night. Service was excellent, I liked the fact that the Chef came out to serve along with the waiter and explained the dishes, as well as greeted us upon arrival and departure. Next time Bellinzona, will be a visit with bells and jingles for dinner!

This place in Bellinzona surprised my expectations.Itâs a pleasant and comfortable ambience in the center of the ticinese capital, not too sophisticated but fair enough to be a good place to rent for any business purposes.The restaurant offers two large conference rooms and nice area at the bar.Good service and great food.Dishes are impressive and the price is fair.Staff is professional and the managers are competitive in the success of the place.I recommend Casa del Popolo for events and friends gathering.
