Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Bormio. Bormio has literally been a tourist hot spot for centuries—ever since Roman times, visitors have flocked to its thermal hot springs. Today, most tourists come from other cities in Italy. Not into getting overheated? You’ll find great skiing (including a downhill course used on the World Cup circuit), or you could explore the medieval town center.

Great food and service in this wonderful restaurant at the very top of the mountain at 3000 metres above sea level. You can just take the cable car up and back, it's not necessary to be a skier also because the first part of the slope looks a bit hairy. The view is simply breath-taking.Dear Fleur O,thank you for having visited us!It was a real pleasure for us to meet you.Come back soon at our Heaven 3000!

Flies of course slightly annoyed ..Otherwise, everything is fine.

My two teenage sons and I just got back from a fantastic ski trip in Bormio. On one of the nights we had dinner at Keller Steakhouse and really enjoyed it. The ambience and atmosphere was warm and most inviting. We shared an expensive but delicious Tomahawk steak together with some sides. The steak was, however, devoured rather quickly leaving us still a bit hungry compelling us having to mop-up the meat juices with bread and finish the sides! For desert we had the "triple" which consisted three separate servings of Teramisu, Panna Cotta and Creme Brulee. All seriously delicious! Also, interesting to note that one can reserve a table inside a large wine barrel for what I'd guess would be a more intimate or fun dining experience!Keller Steakhouse is so good it could easily hold its own even in the US of A!

We read a lot of good things on TripAdvisor about this restaurant and it is completely true! After being welcomed we were seated at a nice table. The decoration and the tablewear was wonderful, they kepf it in a simple, modern and beautiful way.The apperitivo was arranged very beautifully and absolutely delicious!Same with the main course, it was outstanding. For dessert, we had coffee which they made in a special way after asking for it. All in all a wonderful experience! We will go back there again.

A cosy restaurant which serves local dishes. For starters we had the mixed platter of cold cuts and cheese from the region which was excellent. For main course we had venison (deer) stew and also the pork ribs/sausage combo both served with polenta. Absolutely fantastic!! For dessert we had semifreddo which was perfect to round off a great meal/evening! Oh, and the beer was real special too! I had Pint Alpina Sbrega which was excellent!

After a sunny week of skiing in Bormio, nothing couldâve put our vacation to a closure in a better way, than visiting the Enoteca Guanella. Located behind an Enoteca (wine shop) at the main street, the restaurant offers a charming and very welcoming atmosphere. Service was personal and warm. The menu isnât the most extensive, but on the other hand it holds great variability. Itâs likely that everyone in your company will find something that theyâll like. After deciding on what to eat, the really exiting part of the dining experience starts. Instead of a traditional wine list, the Enoteca and all of its selection, is on the menu. You simply walk around the shop, with an advisor, and pick out the wine (or wines) that suits your food or mood. And at the same price as if you were to buy it over the counter, plus a small service fee. If you donât finish your bottle, you can get the cork put back in it and bring it back home. Or as we did, buy another bottle to take home.Me and my wife had a three meal course, while our two boys had two.The food was maybe not exceptional, but still very very good. Presented in a refined fashion and well balanced in composure and taste, it felt like a lot of love was put in to all dishes.Taking all things into consideration, this was one of the most pleasant dining experiences that weâve had in a long time. And Italians being Italians, our children (aged 9 and 7) were treated like royalty.Weâll return to Bormio. And when we do, weâll make sure to visit the Enoteca Guanella again!

Very, very disappointed... I was told not to choose the vegetarian lasagna because it was small and cold, I was then told not to choose the âmemorable dishâ because it was small. Ordered the stew for â¬18 and it came quicker than McDonaldâs!! Then they wanted us to pay â¬6 charge for âusing the tablecloths and glassesâ. It felt like a kitchen nightmares episode, I was genuinely waiting for Gordon to appear the worst thing was the argument from the waitress about removing the service charge âmaybe they donât do this in your countryâ were her words hahahahahaThe poor is you who can not possibly afford dinner in a restaurant, given the only courses you have taken and not even willingness to pay for a consummate service.Fortunately we do not have customers like you !!!!!Maybe you can only afford to go to a McDonald with Gordon

Look no further if looking for accomodation during a cycling trip to Bormio. The hotel is family run and has a wonderful homely feel. The family members are extremely helpful in providing advice about where to eat and what to do in the Bormio area. Dinner can be booked at the hotel and it is well worth dining at the hotel on at least one night during a stay. Every morning an ample breakfast is served, readying one for a big day on the bike. There is a secure bike lock up area, complete with a set of tools to make adjustments as needed. There are also tyre pumps available. Our group of 12 had a wonderful week at this hotel.

The philosophy of Gavioli is the continuous search for quality and freshness of raw materials. All the ingredients on our menu are subject to high quality controls. The restaurant, formerly a barn of the 1600s, was the meeting point of the Dossorovina dep
Everything about this restaurant is great. From the starters to the first and second courses they exceeded our expectations which were high already. The duck was the best we have had and the venison was great. The risotto made with red wine and sausage was the best risotto ever-2 people in our party exclaimed. Service was impeccable as was the setting. Put this on your short list for Bormio!
