This restaurant was recommended by our agriturismo and it was wonderful. We had the risotto, bruschetta, and a delicious pizza with ham, mozzarella and arugula. The wait staff was very attentive and managed to go orders along with our sit down meal. It is quaint and warm and welcoming. Highly recommend. Pricing is well done -food and service well worth mid range pricing. Risotto was best we have had in Italy.

This is where the locals eat, no nonsense pizza & pasta of all sorts . One can even get fish & chips . beside petrol station. Try liver terrine and strips of tender beef called tagliata with pasta or chips . They have home cooked pastry tarts .quick service and cheap .Thank you, thank you and thanks again for your wonderful review.See you soon...Luca and the staff

We were travelling back fromMontalcino and my daughter really wanted pizza. We saw a sign for the Borgo Antico Hotel Ristorante Pizzeria so we detoured off the main road and entered. (Parking is across the street from the hotel, and down s few steps). We were greeted by a friendly man (perhaps the manager?) and enquired about pizza ... as the sign at the hotel had pizzeria now covered over /blanked out, despite the glass in the entry porch still saying Pizzeria. He I formed us that there was unfortunately no pizza. The signs were out of date. So he offered us the menu and my daughter agreed to try the. Hi men.We took a table indoors despite being told that the terrace is lovely. We'd been eaten alive by Mosquitos already so wanted to be indoors. The dining room was very pretty with arched brickwork /vaulting. It was a very impressive e room.3 of us ordered chicken cutlets with chips whilst my husband ordered lamb. We also ordered some green beans and buttered potatoes as sides to share. We ordered wine and water also for the table. We were brought a basket of dry sliced bread whilst waiting. We were t given olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip it in so we asked for some butter. This totally confused our water who eventually brought out a plate of lettuce with some shavings of butter on top. The food when it arrived was not very nice. Only my son ate most of his chicken. My daughter didn't like it at all so I ate some of hers and some of mine as I thinkIt was supposed to be like that - a very flat thin slice with s lot of breadcrumbs, and it appeared to be fried (for maybe a little too long). My husband said his lamb was over cooked and had very little flavour or meat. The greens were quite flavourless too and the potatoes were very salty. They appeared to be sauteéed but I can't be sure.We didn't order dessert and stopped further along the road to get pizza for my daughter as she barely touched her dinner in the restaurant. On checking the bill we found that they also include a cover charge of 2 Eurostar per person, including our 2 kids. It's called Coperti on the bill (see attached photo), so be aware to factor this cost in. We tipped anyway, despite not enjoying our meal, having failed TK notice the cover charge already on our bill. We won't be back at this restaurant. We wouldn't recommend it either.

We dined here this evening & felt compelled to immediately leave a review. Every aspect of our evening was flawless. The setting is incredible, overlooking the endless Tuscan hills. The two staff members attending our table were very polite & knowledgeable, yet never intrusive. The food itself was absolutely delicious & very innovative. We were excited to see each course arrive. The wine, from their vineyard, was also excellent. We feel we were so lucky to have been given the recommendation to dine here and take away such wonderful memories.Dear Down39, we are very satisfied with your aprreciation. The chef and our staff all work with the goal of bringing an emotional experiences to our guests. We trying to leave in their memory, with proposes dishes, wines, hospitality and with marvelious views, a piece of our wonderful Tuscany. We looking forward to welcoming you again

We tried more than 20 pizzas all around the Tuscany. Some of them were thin, some thick, some had just few ingredients and others were rich. But pizzas here were truly the perfect one. We wanted to go back day after, unfortunately it was closed even that according to tripadvisor it should be open that evening. Desserts were good but nothing special. But we will definitely come back because of pizza.
