New place into the heart of Italy, real Tuscan place. Try our traditional specialities and enjoy our green space in the middle of the countryside or have a nap in our rooms upstairs.
This is a spacious and bright local eatery, facing the main road, with a large carpark. They had display counters with cold meats in the outer seating area, and ala Carte menu in the inner dining room. Bright artificial flowers decorated the inner dining room. Little children are welcome here. The service was very slow, and the ambience lacked the hospitality and buzz of a thriving restaurant. You will not be pressurised to finish your meal quickly. The Gnochilini with sausage and mushrooms was good but a tad bit salty. Grilled Scamerita drizzled with olive oil very was tough with lots of rubbery cartilage. Tagliatelle with mustard sauce was good.

We were also staying at La Suvera in Pievescola. We went to reception to ask the local places at which we could have lunch. The receptionist recommended this restaurant and said that this was a local restaurant at which she would eat. We went for lunch. Unfortunately by the time we arrived we were told that they were no longer serving any grilled food. They had a huge wood furnace in the kitchen where we could see they were grilling all types of meat.We had lunch. The food was good-what we assume is home cooking. We decided to come back for dinner to try the grilled meat. We had chicken and guinea fowl. Both were excellently grilled. The house wine was ridiculously cheap but also good. It is really a simple everyday restaurant where the locals come to have lunch and dinner. There is no decor or ambience- people come for the food and the extraordinary value.

This is a great wine store that has an amazing assortment for tasting and purchasing. A special treat is tasting the balsamic vinegars and the grappa. Pietro and Patricia are extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and both speak great English. We purchased many bottles of wine and balsamic from them and enjoyed going in for a glass at cocktail time. They will arrange wine tours at some amazing local wineries. They made appointments for us at small, medium, and very large wineries. A must. We were surprised that most wineries require an appointment whether they are large or small. You must stop, browse, learn, and drink some great wines.
