We had a wonderful meal at this beautiful little restaurant last night. The food was fabulous and wonderful, charming service. It is run by a young couple and I wish them all the luck in the world. They certainly deserve it.

The Fonte alla Vena Inn is a warm and welcoming restaurant in an ancient building of historical importance which has recently been renovated. It is on the Cassia Road, close to the village of San Quirico d'Orcia close to Montalcino , Motepulciano and only
Pleasant service, lovely atmosphere. Delicious cheese breadsticks. Unusual menu, loved the duck tagliatelle with orange. Anchovyâs were good for those who enjoy them, beautifully presented. Nice wines available by the class. Excellent Banfi white. Unfortunately the ribs while unusual with honey were devoid of hardly any meat. Very disappointing. The desserts were average.

Just wanted a quick pit stop meal, and saw this small place with its interesting menus on chalkboards outside, and a table in the street opened up so we pounced, and were glad we did. The waiter had good English, nd we were able to chat a little. The wine was tempting but as I was driving I stuck to Water. My wife had a very good Duck Salad, good flavour and good portion, and I had an anchovy and pesto Bruschetta. Really tasty. Recommended

It's a local delicatessen. Very small place - we ate plates of local cheese and sausage. It was great. The people there were extremely nice and gave us explanations regarding out order. I highly recommend the place - a true and very nice taste of the area.

We had a nice lunch at the Osteria Porcellum in Bagno Vignoni (delicious melted speziato cheese with veggies grigliata) and a glass of Vino Nobile for me and Chardonnay for my husband. Lovely presentation and friendly service. You can also buy local delicacies in this Osteria. They are pretty expensive but good for a gift and good memories.

Nice place, great views over the Orcia valley close to the restaurant, good food (traditional but creative) and nice waiter (dynamic and enterteining even though he was tired). My daughter liked the pappardelle/tagliatelle very much, she even took two portions of them. It's a family businness (like many) with the passion of doing it and you feel it.

Tucked away off a corner of the pool that is the main square here, this small eatery serves mainly small, tasty, inventive plates. We had a local sausage and cabbage, an incredibly tasty baked in balsamic vinegar onion, and a bread with tuna. This is a welcome change from the usual first and second. Service was prompt and helpful. If it's a hot day consider eating inside as you step down into the cool stone cellar, but if not, enjoy the street view of the square/pool.

A group of us were walking one stage of the Via Francigena. Our accommodation was also organised by La Cisterna nel Borgo. We were warmly welcomed by the very vivacious Marta, who was extremely helpful. Dinner was delicious and wine excellent. The restaurant was very atmospheric.

The Osteria del Leone, as documents testify, has always been part of the life of this ancient village. Located in one of the townâs oldest houses on the corner of Via dei Mulini and the square with the thermal pool, it has four welcoming, hospitable rooms
We visted on a Saturday night and expected it to be busy which it was. The service was warm and greeting however, service staff was limited and the waiting after being seated was extensive. The staff (only counted 3 for service) were exceptional under the circumstance. That being said the food was excellent and the ravioli with white truffle sauce was exceptional, I'd say the best I've ever eaten. Our appetizers and main course were great.Thank you Ray, all perfect, excellent, but you gave us only 3 out of 5!!! Why have you been so severe?Best regards.Antonio Cassisi

The internal dining room is cosy and sophisticated, perfect for a candle-lit dinner; in good weather you can enjoy the chefâs delicious meals outdoors in the square, a must in this lost angle of paradise. Homemade pasta, tenderloin, fillets, bistecca alla
This restaurant did many things badly and some very good. The bean soup was excellent, the ravioli were dry and the sauce was watery, the bistecca was tough and chewy but tasty with peppercorns., and the tiramisu was tasty. The waiter could have been more attentive as he forgot to bring our bottle of water. Very cheap with the fork discount.Dear guest, with pleasure we read your comment, we are happy to know that you enjoyed our kitchen, we are sorry that some dishes were not to your liking, as far as the waiter's attention is concerned, we will certainly be more careful. If you want to return, you will always be welcome. Kind regards, The Staff.
