We ate here often during our last visit to the area 3 years ago and enjoyed it again this visit. It is unpretentious and excellent food. Very reasonable and very nice people working there. Would highly recommend especially for their pizzas.

This is the bar/pizzeria/osteria on the main street in the village of Ville di Corsano.
We have been in Tuscany for a week and have had great meals and great wines all over the region. We keep coming back to our favourite little ristorante in the small Ville Di Corsano, for the food, the wine and the great staff! It opens at 7:30pm so we are typically the first ones, after our Aperol Spritz is enjoyed on the front 2 tables, by the roadside where the locals gather to talk about their days across the street. The food is made with such care and every morsel is delicious. We have not made one bad choice and the specials always feature locally grown and sourced foods, meats and vegetables. Very reasonably priced and the staff are great!Take out pizzas are tremendous and hit the spot for 5 euros! This is a must eat here if in the area!
Grazie ancora.

This restaurant was recommended by our hosts at Castello di San Fabiano and it was a good recommendation. This family restaurant in a rural setting is non spectacular inside but the food and service are great. Loved the great food, house wine, service and value for money.

The restaurant at the Albergo di Murlo has some of the best food around. The pastas are homemade (be sure to try the Pici - a local, Sienese pasta that's like thick, hand-rolled spaghetti) and all the ingredients are fresh. They have nice seasonal options as well, so you know that you're getting authentic, homemade cooking and not run-of-the-mill, store bought, pre-packaged food like you will find at many restaurants. The local meat options are always great, especially the braised cinghiale, which is Tuscan wild boar. The house wine is very good and is a great option if you don't want to blow your budget on drinks. The staff is some of the friendliest around and will take great care of you. If you're passing through Vescovado, be sure to stop by for lunch or dinner!

We happened upon this place late one rainy lunchtime wandering around Murlo. We were pretty hungry and really glad we found it. Not only was he food delicious, but itâs a quirky place with a warm welcome. We both enjoyed pasta dishes. Spaghetti with a sage pesto and tagliatelle with the local boar ragu. All washed down with a carafe of the house red. Nom, nom.Great location with views over the countryside and a lovely balcony that would have been nice it it wasnât for the rain. Highly recommended.

This hotel suited us in out road trip around Tuscany. It is located between Siena and Val D'Orcia and we stayed overnight before heading back towards San Gimignano. The hotel itself is built in the edge of a forest with wonderful views. Murlo, which is the nearby village is suitable only for the basics. We had dinner at the hotel which was satisfactory. This hotel is recommended for peace seekers or just a stopover in a road trip.

This restaurant is almost hidden by a service station, not near any town, out on the highway. The decor is simple but appealing. The food was excellent. Try the spaghetti carbonara. The pasta was cooked to perfection and was delicious. The pizza was also very good. Beer was very reasonably priced. Overall the quality and value could not be beat.

We were staying nearby and were attracted by the reviews. We weren't expecting anything fancy - just basic, tasty Tuscan food. The dining room was pleasant but not busy. Sadly, the food was a huge disappointment and far from pleasant. Service was prompt and we ordered one bruschetta and one mixed canapés. The canapés comprised a strange mix of unidentifiable toppings smeared on tooth-loosening stale bread. The bruschetta were coarsely chopped tomatoes on stale toast with a very thin drizzle of olive oil and no herbs, salt or pepper to give a lift. Not a good start. The next course was worse. Tagliatelle with ragu a la cinghiale was greasy ground meat fried in oil and stirred into over-cooked pasta - no red wine, tomato or any other ingredient that gives ragu its richness and texture. My wife's mushroom tagliatelle was similarly limp, sticky and swimming in oil. We asked for the bill and left. The only saving grace was that the waitress deducted the pasta from the bill. In my experience a very rare experience in Italy and, indeed, my worst meal anywhere for a long time.

Chiuso per ferie dal 17.11.2016 al 10.12.2016
My wife and our three daughters have just had a fantastic dinner at Il Locale Di Guido. My wife and I shared a 1kg Fiorentina Steak, 2 daughters had Filet Steak and the little one had local pasta. We had a small bottle of wine and desserts. Everything was excellent. The service was great too. The entrance to the restaurant is a little peculiar but the dining area itself is lovely. We highly recommend.
