I Tre Rioni is a restaurant with rooms in the picturesque village of Campiglia D'Orcia. The tables are set with heavy damask and wooden platters bearing the restaurant name; the walls have a decorative 'country' feel , all contributing to a nice atmosphere. We were greeted with complementary toast and lardon, then enjoyed a tasting platter including a variety of delicious meats, cheese, vegetables and toasts. The star dishes of our primi were pasta with garlic and tomato, and spinach and ricotta pasta with cinnamon sauce. For secondi we enjoyed a mediaeval recipe of turkey with chestnuts, seafood pasta and pork chops with side dishes of porcini mushroom, oven baked vegetables and potatoes, spinach and steamed vegetables. For dessert we had lemon sorbet. It was actually very hard to decide what to choose, as there were so many tempting dishes on the menu. The restaurant has deservedly won several awards - long may it continue to do so!

Just wanted a quick pit stop meal, and saw this small place with its interesting menus on chalkboards outside, and a table in the street opened up so we pounced, and were glad we did. The waiter had good English, nd we were able to chat a little. The wine was tempting but as I was driving I stuck to Water. My wife had a very good Duck Salad, good flavour and good portion, and I had an anchovy and pesto Bruschetta. Really tasty. Recommended

The walk from Querico D' Orcia, along the Via Francigena, was amazing! We arrived in Castiglione D' Orcia a little after sunset. Though there were no hotel rooms available in town, a staff person at the Le Rocche bar helped arrange a room for us, in a beautiful house with an amazing view of the castle. Thank you! We returned for dinner after checking into our room. It was wonderful. Friendly staff, efficient service and tremendous food. One of the best meals of our trip.

It's a local delicatessen. Very small place - we ate plates of local cheese and sausage. It was great. The people there were extremely nice and gave us explanations regarding out order. I highly recommend the place - a true and very nice taste of the area.

Nice place, great views over the Orcia valley close to the restaurant, good food (traditional but creative) and nice waiter (dynamic and enterteining even though he was tired). My daughter liked the pappardelle/tagliatelle very much, she even took two portions of them. It's a family businness (like many) with the passion of doing it and you feel it.

A group of us were walking one stage of the Via Francigena. Our accommodation was also organised by La Cisterna nel Borgo. We were warmly welcomed by the very vivacious Marta, who was extremely helpful. Dinner was delicious and wine excellent. The restaurant was very atmospheric.

Fantastic panorama and location. (= Podere Casella) The room was clean, spatious, and with a nice bathroom.Everything is well thought of, nice and cosy design mixed with functionality. The family is very nice and helpful with tips, must see's, history and options for the dinner (we had half board). But they leave you with plenty of room for relaxing and privacyThe location is quiet (like the area) and breathes the old warm ItalyWe would definitely recommend it! (Aanrader!)

We are a 1 Michelin starred Gourmet Restaurant located in Rocca d'Orcia, wonderful small village in Tuscany, very close to Montalcino and Pienza in the countryside of Siena.
This small but delightful restaurant is serving great tasting innovative food. There is a choice of degustation or a la carte. We ordered degustation with wine suggested by the sommelier from the quite comprehensive wine menu. All the food was beautifully presented and served professionally by attentive staff. Fabio the maître de speaks excellent English.Chef Massimo Corrado has one Michelin star heading for two!Gnocchi with cauliflower, foie gras with roasted scampi just two examples of his great dishes. On a good sit outside and booking is recommended.

The Fonte alla Vena Inn is a warm and welcoming restaurant in an ancient building of historical importance which has recently been renovated. It is on the Cassia Road, close to the village of San Quirico d'Orcia close to Montalcino , Motepulciano and only
Pleasant service, lovely atmosphere. Delicious cheese breadsticks. Unusual menu, loved the duck tagliatelle with orange. Anchovyâs were good for those who enjoy them, beautifully presented. Nice wines available by the class. Excellent Banfi white. Unfortunately the ribs while unusual with honey were devoid of hardly any meat. Very disappointing. The desserts were average.
