This is a fascinating bar, in what one can imagine was an 18th century casino, full of Spanish nobleman playing cards and gambling their estates. Now it is very comfortable bar, serving a great variety of tapas of high quality. It is the prefect place to relax in the evening, sitting in comfortable armchairs, watching people walking around in the plaza outside.

Birthday lunch with the family - booked for 2pm - mad really - should have known that was too early.Still Cava in the bar and to the table - the waiter was fantastic - never let on how much English he could speak until almost at the end.Very leisurely affair with excellent food - son in law thought it was the best steak he had ever eaten.English menu not the same as Spanish one - older.

Stayed with friends at the Palacio de la Gomera on calle San Pedro & this was recommended by a local for very good tapas. As we arrived on Sunday the hotel was virtually empty so we went for tapas & drinks. There is a menu/ carta plus specials on the blackboard. We worked our way over a number of hours chatting/ catching up through crispy morcillas with chopped almonds( black pudding balls in crispy shells), mouthwatering beef( buey) in brandy sauce, salads, jamon iberico, grilled wild mushrooms, white wine, then Pacharon & coffee. The prices are very reasonable & the quality of food produced by Francesco the chef is excellent. It was full of locals enjoying the food yesterday & we went back for some lunch today before driving back to Malaga.Mixed salads tiny burgers & a tomato salad were enjoyed today. If you give them a tip they ring a bell! The staff are very friendly.Try to speak in Spanish especially if off season & quiet.me gusto mucho.

I don't like writing negative reviews, especially if it seems the establishment in question is trying to get it right but not entirely succeeding. But this place got me going! We went there last week, spending a night in beautiful Osuna on our way back to Seville Airport after a lovely Spanish holiday. We arrived soon after 8.30 pm, the place was empty but that was no surprise given that this is Spain. The waiter who greeted us was happy to show us to a table of our choosing, and provide us with menus. There was a large TV on the wall of this classy-looking restaurant set to a high volume. I asked if it could be turned down, or preferably off. This was done, but the waiter pointed out that a football match would be starting soon. He followed this by advising us that although we were welcome to sit there and have a drink the kitchen would not open until 9.00 pm. We told him we would go to a bar and (since hardly anywhere else seemed to be open and serving anything other than tapas) come back later - which we did, well after 9.00 pm.A few (plastic) tables in the courtyard outside were occupied, but the only other people we could see in this very elegant restaurant itself were four members of staff - one of whom was sitting at the bar eating his own supper and getting on well with a bottle of wine on the counter. They all seemed to regard us as an inconvenience, especially since the football had started, and the television volume had begun creeping back up.By the time we had got through two courses of perfectly adequate and reasonably priced food the football had won the battle for the waiters' attention and we couldn't wait to get out of there. That was a real shame, because the place looked as though it could be really good. We have never been treated anything like as badly as that anywhere in the world! The dining room at Fawlty Towers would have done a better job - at least it would have been entertaining. If you have the opportunity to visit Osuna, which is a glorious place and very close to Seville, please consider trying this restaurant because we think it could be good - but make sure there isn't a football match on that night! And be careful about choosing the wine; there are some absurdly expensive bottles on the list, presumably to show off, but also some excellent wines at "normal" prices if you choose carefully.

Had light lunch here one afternoon. Located in the corner of the main square this is an excellent place to while away time watching the locals in this unspoilt and very untouristy town. Delighted to find somewhere in town which actually serves "grande beers"! Just what was needed as the temps hit way over 30c. Also ordered tapas for three which was very nice esp the pork. Although the proprietor didn't speak English he was very friendly with good sense of humour. I did peep into the main bar which was tiny and atmospheric but a seat outside was what we needed!

We had waited for more than 2 hours for lunch. It has tradition Spanish bar atmosphere, crowded, friendly and loudly which I really like. Every people, include customers and staff were showing a happy face, even when they were waiting. Foods tasted good. I ordered two dishes: pork fillet with yellow source and garlic prawn. Both taste delicious. I will go for today’s dinner as well to try other dishes.

Not always easy to know when they will be open but worth persisting.Lovely atmosphere- don't be put off by the slightly OTT medieval theme. Welcome is genuine, the quality of ingredients superb and makes a great change from the very traditional fare elsewhere in Osuna.Would be nice if they had a wine list especially for non Spanish speakers - I saw an excellent Rioja that I know and it was 32euros for a wine that London restaurants would charge 55euros if you were lucky up to 100 or so if not so lucky. We had a great evening and all of the food was great .Particularly liked watching how well Arturo and his wife worked together.Fantastic - will be back in April Gracias a todos a Rey Arturo y hasta Abril

We have travelled around Andalusia for many years and are fully versed with the type, portion size and qualities of tapas food. However, after our only evening meal in the small town of Osuna we were extremely disappointed at the quality of food served at this restuarant. We ordered a couple of simple tapas dish which turned up in a form that we have not expected or seen in other restaurants that we've dined at. The portion sizes for the actual cost was laugable and frankly a joke. The fish and chips portions that we have in England far exceed anything served at this restuarant.
