The Figón de los Comuneros restaurant is located very close to the Plaza Mayor de Segovia, a step away from the main monuments located in the city center. Our restaurant is a typical meeting point at the time of the aperitif for the Segovians. The secret
One of the many restaurants servibg the local specialties of cochinillo, castellana soup, and beans "judias de la granja". The judias and soup were very bland, and somewhat lacking in flavour. The cochinillo was fine, but nothing special and lacking in meat. Sorry....Wouldnt go back.

Had lunch between a hike in Penalara and a visit in Segovia. The spaghettis, empanadas and the homemade alfajores are outstanding. The owner is super friendly. He speaks perfect English and makes a wicked iced coffee in a cocktail shaker. Although it is a parilla, a vegetarian could easily find a ton of items to be very happy. I have great memories of a fantastic day out with friends, thanks to Tio Pepe!

We had the menu del dia at lunchtime on a Thursday. There is no choice; the day of the week determines what you get. Thursday is paella (which was really good) followed by huevos con potatas (which was really, really bad). Two fried eggs, one of which was barely warm and the other absolutely stone cold with a dozen or so chips (of the frozen variety, I suspect). The waiter did offer to heat up the cold egg! Dessert was creme caramel. Bread and water (only still) or wine were included. The place was packed with locals so it must be popular with them but it is one of the worst menu del dias I have had, apart from the paella.Dear Sirs,Thanks for your assessment we appreciate it very much. It makes us get our service better.See you soon.Department Public Relations.

When I called for a table in the evening, I was asked if we wanted suckling pig or lamb - these things should be ordered in advance.I ordered cochinillo (suckling pig) for two and did not regret it.We added some starter and a salad and were fine. From the terrace, you see the aqueduct and the town.

We planned to visit this restaurant anyway, as our Air BnB was nearby. But after seeing it was #1 in Segovia AND offered a 40% discount, we were firm in our decision. We shared the asparagus starter and the roasted suckling pig....both were incredibly delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was warm and professional. We will go back to try tapas tomorrow.Book thru Trip Advisor for your discount (a few restrictions apply.) It saved us about 20 euro! Highly recommended, even without the discount. Wow!

Excellent food at reasonable prices. A much better choice than the classic tourist traps of Segovia city centre. The sucklig pig meatballs are a must. Portios are huge. Good choice of wines at excellent prices. The lady owner is adorable and always ready to help and give a good advice. We have been there the 3 last times we were in Segovia. It is just a 5 minute drive from the city and parking is easy. Just pass the centre of Torrecaballeros and you will see it after 200 meters on the right side of the road.

A stoneâs throw from Segovia, this restaurant is less expensive and just as good as any in Segovia, renowned for its roast lamb and suckling pig. Itâs part of a larger complex that includes a hotel, shops, cafeteria, tavern, and gardens. As the weather was good, we sat on the balcony and had a simple prix fixe menu of roast lamb and salad, which was accompanied by fresh bread. The bottle of Ribera del Duero was modest but a great companion to the heavy lamb dish. For dessert I had a tasty local cake or âponche segoviano.â There is plenty of room for large gatherings, like wedding receptions, and the bathrooms are large, clean, with an ample seating area. The place is so popular that parking can be difficult.

Built in the 16th centuries and beautifully restored this is a wonderful place to try the cooking of the Spanish Sierras. Roast Suckling Pig or Roast Lamb. Take your pick. Very interesting fresh roasted vegetables. Great desserts. Excellent wine. Afterwards you'll need to walk ourside and look at the snow up on the mountain tops and see the flowers starting to bloom in April and just walk to digest the magnificent meal.
