Our second night here and I couldn't face another cochinilla or lechuga so we went for a pizza and a lasagne di carne. Both very nice. House red was a young tempranillo rioja, preceded by a beer while waiting for the kitchen to open at 8. Finished off with a sicilia bitter. Not a lot of indoor seating but a nice meal.

A stoneâs throw from Segovia, this restaurant is less expensive and just as good as any in Segovia, renowned for its roast lamb and suckling pig. Itâs part of a larger complex that includes a hotel, shops, cafeteria, tavern, and gardens. As the weather was good, we sat on the balcony and had a simple prix fixe menu of roast lamb and salad, which was accompanied by fresh bread. The bottle of Ribera del Duero was modest but a great companion to the heavy lamb dish. For dessert I had a tasty local cake or âponche segoviano.â There is plenty of room for large gatherings, like wedding receptions, and the bathrooms are large, clean, with an ample seating area. The place is so popular that parking can be difficult.

The Figón de los Comuneros restaurant is located very close to the Plaza Mayor de Segovia, a step away from the main monuments located in the city center. Our restaurant is a typical meeting point at the time of the aperitif for the Segovians. The secret
One of the many restaurants servibg the local specialties of cochinillo, castellana soup, and beans "judias de la granja". The judias and soup were very bland, and somewhat lacking in flavour. The cochinillo was fine, but nothing special and lacking in meat. Sorry....Wouldnt go back.

El Secreto de San Clemente, es un restaurante de Segovia donde poder comer cochinillo y otros platos de la tierra en un emplazamiento único.
After arriving late in Segovia, we stopped here, the first restaurant we came to.We ordered the pulpo a la Gallega (octopus) (E 12) and a racion de cochinillo (roast suckling pig) (E 18). Whilst we enjoyed both dishes, the cochinillo we ate the following night at El Bernardino was better. With bread, mineral water, tinto verano and several beers, the total bill was Euro 53.30, which we thought value for money. One thing to bear in mind. Whilst the cafe/bar and restaurant are co-located, you cannot have a drink at the bar and then decide you want something to eat. Food can only be ordered from the restaurant, which means finding and changing tables - something which can be difficult in peak times. The restaurant normally has a spectacular view of the Roman aqueduct (but this view was obscured by huge tents for a food and wine event).

Among its culinary specialties include traditional roast suckling pig, the desalted cod and game dishes with seasonal mushrooms. An authentic brand and quality assurance, prepared with great care in the oven. Undoubtedly, a unique place, with the best vie
We stopped here for lunch. The food was good and not too expensive. We had a mixture of salad, sopa Castellana and Chirizo, and all tasted well. Service was polite and friendly, but slow. We would visit again. Thank you very match for your remark. We will wait for your next visit to Segovia!

Beautiful Restuarant, with a quiet eloquence... very attentive and knowledgable staff....we chose the mid range taster menu... every dish was fabulous, beautifully presented... excellent value for money, and we would go back... the mid range was as much as we could eat....the full taster menu ( in my opinion ) is for people with gargantuan appetites... compliments to the chef and staff...thank you for a lovely evening.... We had a nice 3-course dinner for 25E each. It included bread, water and a glass of wine. I had the Monastery Salad, which included salmon on mixed greens. The main was tuna steak with roasted potatoes and desert was hazelnut brownie. Delicious. Hubby had the "Big Bean" soup, Baby Lamb Legs, and Cheesecake. He really liked the soup and the lamb. The cheesecake was presented in a jar and that affected the balance of the ingredients. Most of the problem was the 20:30 start time. We were exhausted from traveling from Barcelona and, as most Americans, used to dining earlier. Also, there was a huge party of about 15 ahead of us and we had to wait for them to be served every course. So, while we enjoyed the food, it was just the wrong time for us. We had lunch there in the bar the next day and that was just right. Good food, good service.

Called in here for lunch on a recent trip to Segovia having seen the favourable reviews on Tripadvisor. Glad we did, it was excellent. We were also very lucky to get in as if we had arrived about 10 minutes later we would have had no chance. They must have turned away as many people as were in the restaurant whilst we were there. We had come for the suckling pig and we weren't disappointed. It was on the 28E menu. There was an 11E menu as well that most people seemed to be having. The place was rammed and had that lovely buzz that you get in restaurants sometimes. This felt like a real community hub. Our starters were peppers stuffed with bacalao and a lovely bean stew, the very large beans being something specific to the area. Then the main event, the suckling pig, which was put on a separate table in its cooking dish next to ours and cut up into segments before being put on our plates. It also came with a basic salad. Get stuck in! Delicious. I especially liked nibbling on the crispy snout! I know, sounds horrid, but I was immediately transported back to the flavour of pork scratchings in pubs in England years ago. Desserts were a ponche Segovia (creamy, custard tart) and a lemon mousse (often found on menus on this holiday) that needed more of a lemon flavour (like most lemon mousses on this holiday). I like lemon. The meal also came with wine, bread and water. Service was terrific. Faultless. Polite, informed, efficient, caring. Highly recommended.

When I called for a table in the evening, I was asked if we wanted suckling pig or lamb - these things should be ordered in advance.I ordered cochinillo (suckling pig) for two and did not regret it.We added some starter and a salad and were fine. From the terrace, you see the aqueduct and the town.
