This cooperative run restaurant has good service, a nice community vibe and tasty food. We had a surprisingly good paella and a delicious lomo meal. A highlight of the meal were the marinated eggplants and bread at the beginning. So tasty! It's a nice restaurant to try if you find yourself in Rosario.

We arrived at 7.30pm but were told they were not serving until 8.30 so went and had a few beers and returned. The staff were friendly and very formal like with there waitering. I had a steak (plain entrecote,) however I was not asked how I wanted it cooked and made the mistake of not specifying. The steak was an absolutely beautiful piece of meat, but overcooked to almost ruin. How they can ruin fantastic pieces of meat through overcooking is beyond me but different customs we definitely hold there. My partner had the seafood paella which came out very different to paella we've had before in Spain, Australia and many other countries. It wasn't particularly great and had an almost dirty taste to it, again probably just another difference in cooking styles that we weren't aware of. The prices were pretty good, service good, food average but I feel we were a bit unlucky there. I'd give it another go.

Very central, good food, good kitchen, very good empanadas, the service is very attentive and the meat is tasty. Wine selection could be bigger but all in all a good spot to eat.

El Establo has been around a long time. It has a good reputation among Rosalinos. But for my taste, it is not at all in the top tier. There are much better, smaller and more intimate parrillas to visit. The food was average and we found it surprising that the ONLY vegetable on the menu other than the salads was eggplant. How about some spinach or some calabazas?Look through the Trip Advisor list and find someplace more highly rated.

Almost every restaurant in Rosario has exactly the same menu items. This place actually had daily specials that were different. Hurrah. We tried a shrimp casserole that was very tasty. They also had a good wine list.

The story of "Alvear y Nueve" begins August 20, 1993, the day of its founding. Reaching almost 20 years in the heart and in an important corner of Rosario. In its gleaming two decades, the origin of the restaurantgoes back to the old grill "La Herradura" p
The service was poor....the waiter did not ask me how I wanted my meat cooked. He was more interested in watching the football match than in providing service. By Argentinian standards, the meat was overpriced, poorly cooked and the portion was small. I would not return.

This restaurant is fairly large and has a very nice nice atmosphere. The food was good, service was attentive and friendly worth repeating. We were a group of ten and all shared the âparrillaâ. The meat and sausage was tasty. Wine was excellent and the pricing was fair.

I came here for dinner with 3 colleagues. The meats were excellent. We got normal light beer and a large platter of assorted cuts. It was my first experience with Argentinian meats so perhaps I'm biased but it was some of the best I've ever had.

A place for locals, off the beaten tourist track. The GPS function was helpful for finding it. We ordered the chefs special steak for two persons, which turned out to be more than enough for three non argentine men.Despite having been served beef essentially three meals a day for a week, the steak was a standout. We ordered empanadas, which were also very good, but will have to make a second trip for the pasta which looked homemade and excellent. The place fills up, so book or get there early. There clientele is a cross section of locals of all ages, groups and couples dining alone. When electrical panel fails, about every 45 minutes, nobody skips a beat and candles come out, which all seems very atmospheric. The service is very homey and attentive...we had an avuncular fellow who spoke no English, but we managed to communicate, and he was patient.

Disappointed twice in recent past, as this has been our favorite place in Rosario. They dropped our favorite dish, which is matambre de cerdo with Roquefort. For some reason they no longer offer the Roquefort. Too bad. They have lost us as customers.
