Find out what Fusion restaurants to try in San Jose. Vibrant and packed with Victorian mansions, Costa Rica's rowdy, bustling capital was built on the profits of the coffee trade and working "golden bean" plantations still surround the city. Try freshly roasted local beans at Mercado Central. For shinier gold, visit the Museo del Oro. Many renovated landmarks now house stylish hotels. Usually viewed as a hub, rather than a destination, nightlife is concentrated in Spanish village-inspired El Pueblo. Don't miss the elegant 1897 National Theater.

We encountered this cozy little nook by chance on a neighborhood festival day. The owners and staff are most welcoming and gregarious. I look forward to a planned visit on a live music night and an opportunity to further experience the Menu. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.

Absolutely fantastic lunch in a unique (at least for me) setting in the backyard of a house. I think the chef can be a star at some point because the meal we had was very well executed. Had the daily special with salmon. Chicken and beef were also options. Two choices with the salmon: octopus or mixed seafood. Went for the mixed, which was a few each of razor clams (so good), green-lipped mussels, normal mussels, littleneck clams, and a bit of octopus over a roasted, quartered potato with seasoning. Could eat this over and over again. Best backyard service every and the chef is very accessible and visited our table a few times.Speaking a bit of Spanish would be helpful but you will still get by. The location is really in a residential neighborhood but our Uber driver found it on a map. Just look for the red grates and garage next to an empty lot. Getting picked up was a bit more of an adventure but managed to work it out.

Yesterday evening we went for dinner to Bario Escalante. We ended up in Loopers. It looks really cozy from the outside with his blue and yellow colours. The girl behind the bar was very friendly and showed us around a bit. The menu looked good with a variety of food. My friend took the salmon and the ossobuco. And I was craving for tuna. The food was above our expectation. We drank 2 gin tonics which was the promo of the day. We definitely go back later this week.

We are a 35-year-old landscape restaurant with traditional Italian cuisine and the best view of the central valley . You can enjoy the most beautiful view of San Jose while enjoying the food with our good wine .
The view was just spectacular and the fantastic. We saw the most amazing sunset and the view in the night in the restaurant. Its scenery is very beautiful, the steak is very delicious and the price is reasonable. Highly recommend!

Franco is the hip gal you want to just be pretty, but in a blow to your confidence, is actually quite bright too - with a true coffee program and an interesting, well curated menu, it's the friend w whom you'll always be impressed.Off the main drag in BE, Franco is home to a crowd is a mix of well heeled, work-optional 30-somethings, indie freelancers, and casual couples, all here for the thoughtful espresso and tasty treats. If you're in a breakie mood, the gallo pinto and avo tostada should not be missed - was tempted by the salmon sando, poke bowl, and tacos - and I've never met a superfood or quinoa bowl I didn't like. Menu is varied, skews bougie, so perhaps not to take your friend who in CR is still hankering for a Big Mac, but for most others, it will fit the bill. Solid GF options. Most nosh is $4000-6500 colones, price to portion ratio adequate. Overall, I wish it was in my neighb.

This restaurant is not large but the food is so good. I started with a Yucca Ceviche, which was delicious. I was with a large group and I believe we tried every starter. No one was disappointed. The avocado toast was VERY popular. The entrees were all delicious and even though there were 16 of us, we were relatively quickly served. The kitchen is small but mighty! The desserts were delicious. I was very impressed with this restaurant. I know I would not have found it without our guide but am very happy we did!
