Things to do in Escazu

Iâve been a avid fan of El Mestizo options for several reasons, there is always something for each member of the party, extraordinary drinks, beer and gins but above all the relaxed ambience suitable for everyone. I just find out the have opened a new annex, which provides for additional options of pizza, Indian cuisine and steak. Chef Rafael Carne al Fuego offer only Angus cuts (New York, rib eye, skirt and picahna) at a very reasonable cost, making it, from my point of view, a very serious contender of Furca and way ahead of Doris Metropolitan by a horse lenght. Very well done Chef Rafael Carne al Fuego and El Mestizo: two thumbs up.

Cafe Rojo offers a lunch special and a vegan/vegetarian option every day. We use seasonal produce from the local farmer's markets in our vietnamese inspired dishes. Simple food made with care and imagination. Located in a victorian old Barrio Amon house,
This is a charming and cosy restaurant offering great food. The owners/staff offer such a warm welcome. The staff speak excellent English and are happy to describe the dishes. We had about dıfferent dishes: The food melts in your mouth. We would strongly recommend this place and would love to come back.

It' a nice place, waitresses and waiters are kind, a good view of the hills in the nearby. In summary, a great experience. Something happens with in the kitchen. They take too time to prepare the food. If they corrected that aspect, my rate would be Excellent.

Our restaurant consists of authentic Indian food with a wide variety of spices & herbs directly from India. We customize our dishes according to your taste buds.
Service was fine - a little too distant perhaps. Food was average. A small bowl (full bowl) was 3200 colones - it was only half fun. $6 for rice???? Naan was very good. Hot and tasty. Kabab was dry and without seasoning- although the 3 sauces were very nice. $20 per person minimum per lunch - just was not that good for that average quality and inflated price. Thank you for your visit and giving us the opportunity to serve you. As we put all the right ingredients required to delight our customers with the most authentic Indian food. We use imported Indian Basmati Rice for our guests and charged as per the Costa Rican landed cost pricing. But we always make sure that our prices are always reasonable according to the quality & quantity of Indian food served in Costa Rica. And all our dishes are easily shareable. We also have Executive Lunch Menu starting from 3950+ivi from Tuesday to Friday 12 pm to 3 pm. We always try to serve our guests according to their taste buds. Seems our attending staff missed to ask your preferred spice level. Thanks for your valuable feedback. We would like to see you back with us soon and a chance to pamper you once again with our best signature dishes.

I just got a take out meal - special fried rice and large shrimp cremosa. Great portions, good food, very nice service too.

We've eaten here many times but this time they must have changed ownership or chefs because the food was not of anywhere the same quality. We won't be back.

From the outside the place has a strange look, but itâs one of the meals Iâve had in a while. The menu has a very unusual mix of local, Asian, and Peruvian foods. We had some Vietnamese-inspired dishes that were wonderful. The octopus starter (Japanese, I believe) was also fantastic. Itâs not the cheapest, but itâs a great place to try something new.
