Pipa's was my favourite restaurant in 3 weeks in South America. It seemed to be predominantly locals and the price matched that - very cheap but the pizzas were very good (thick crust but quite light and not very doughy). They also have an amazing ice cream counter as well. Whether you're on a budget or not, I'd still recommend it.

My friend and I spent a few weeks in Salta during our visit to Argentina and absolutely fell in love with this small family-operated eatery in Salta and truly enjoyed all the items we tried on their menu. Our friend in New York had recommended this place before we left the US and glad we could make it there. Adriana, the owner, treated us extremely well and made us feel like home. We had the chance to try more of their food as we had to go back a few more times and the food never disappointed us. They use quinoa as one of their main ingredients, so its not only tasty but a healthy option also.. Absolutely recommended to all those who want to try something healthy & unique in Salta.Thumbs up!

In the cultural heart of the city, have lunch and dinner surrounded by hills and history
Obviously I canât say for sure. I was well before eating here, I ordered a sandwich that I couldnât finish because the eggs inside were green/gray around the yokes, and the next day I was sick with a bacterial infection dreaded by travelers. Even if I hadnât likely gotten sick here, Iâd give the place one star. My boyfriend and I arrived in Salta late at night and needed to find a late dinner. New Time was open. Like I said, the eggs in my otherwise bland sandwich were greenish gray, a hallmark of eggs gone bad. My boyfriendâs pizza was undercooked. Our waiters were almost remarkably inattentive. It was astonishing, they were all (maybe three people in total) standing at the bar, seemingly playing a game of âhow long can we avoid eye contact with the only two diners here.âNOT to be confused with Cafe del Tiempo, a fantastic cafe also in Salta.

We ordered a sirloin steak which came with sauté potatoes lots of homemade onion rings with a marsala and mushroom sauce we asked for rare and medium and that is what we got. The waitress was excellent and spoke far better English than our poor Spanish, she suggested a great local red to compliment our steaks. The atmosphere was great and is well supported by the locals. Looking about us all the meals looked great as well
