The location is really far off, so it looked real strange when we arrived in a quiet suburb to find a long line of people outside at 20.45 already. The place opens at 21.00 only. Luckily it is huge, with several smaller rooms and outside sitting areas. The restaurant lives up to its reputation, mainly in terms of the music and atmosphere. The food was quite good as well, especially of you are into meat. A great selection of wines too. We were lucky that two young talented musicians joined our room and performed for an hour. Offer them drinks to keep them going!

Meson the la PLaza Restaurant, located at Alejandro I- a five star hotel in Salta City- is a unique place with local flavors carefully adapted to international gastronomy. It is an elegant space with regional touchs, ideal for comfort lovers. The sweet so
We were staying in the Elajandro I hotel and were given two free glasses of wine so we wandered down to the Wine Bar. We noticed that the El Meson restaurant shared the same space as the wine bar, so we asked for the menu. They were happy to serve us restaurant food in the wine bar. I ordered Paco, which is a Piraña like fish. It was covered with a fennel sauce, which was delicious. First time I had Paco and it has become one of my favorite fish meals. My partner had the trout which was well cooked, but had some parts which were a little salty. As if the chef had sprinkled some salt before serving. Some may like it that way though. Overall, highly recommended and we plan on coming back.

Highly recommend if you are in Salta. Show starts at 10 pm. Food portions were huge and waiters attentive. Show consisted of gauchos and ladies dancing. Highlights were gaucho dancing with impressive knife skills and then swirling his cape. Absolutely amazing. Folk singers were also very good. Finished about 12.30 but then it was a Wednesday night.

Colorful, clean, colonial decor. Family oriented restaurant. Typical local dishes. I agree with other reviewers regarding the servers. Although they all wear a gaucho attire that blends nicely with the decor, they could show more motivation.Tip: This restaurant does not accept MasterCard or American Express they only accept Visa or cash.

Superb atmosphere in a nice location in the city centre, in the same building as Hotel Salta. Food is nice, portions huge and we got excellent service from the very friendly waiter Charly. No menus in English, but thankfully he spoke good English so he could help us translate. Kamaleone, good morning. I want to thank you for your kinds words and for take your time to write about us. We'll work in our english menu, cheers!

La Cefira is a homemade pasta restaurant. We offer fresh, original and high quality pasta. Also we have salad, meats, fish, seafood and vegetarian food.
We were looking forward to pasta after rather a lot of steaks while travelling in Argentina so found this little Italian style restaurant. However it was not like any Italian restaurant because the confusing menu listed all sorts of pasta then a separate list of sauces. Italians would always choose the correct sauce for a particular pasta and this menu made it very hard to choose a good meal. The pasta was ok when we had finally worked out how to choose it, but the atmosphere was very flat and our meal was only ok.

Ma Cuisine Resto proposes dishes for every taste with the uncomparable touch of french cuisine. Salta, Argentina.
What a gem! We ordered French and we were rewarded. Instead of a slab of beefsteak, Argentine-style we chose beef bourgogne. Two big balls of the tastiest beef appeared, plenty for two of us to share. We also shared scalloped potatoes or in French, pommes dauphinoises. It was incredible: substantial but not too rich. The green salad and pear tart (tarte tatin) with vanilla ice cream were just right. It has a huge list of red wines organized by winery. I took a stab at a malbec which cost about $15 USD. Aftet 30 minutes of breathing it matched what a 75 euro bordeaux would cost in Paris. The place is really cute with all menus on chalkboards. We want to return soon to try other items on this creative menu.Thank you very much for your words, you are very kind, we wait for you soon.

We went there just for a change from the steaks and a bit of fine dining...We had two guys looking after us, one was tall and lovely and making a bit of an effort with us; the other guy who was looking after the drinks was just rude and had no interest to be there. The food was just ok! I suppose we got really excited about having a few vegetables after a while eating potatoes. Our starter was nice (the prawns) and colourful. The main course were so so average....The selection on the menu was not great so my husband ended up having a steak with chips; that was just an expensive steak with chips or average quality...nothing fancy at all. I had the pork which was nice and that came with mashed sweet potatoes..I had to ask what the mash was as it looked and tasted awful, I just could not eat it.Dessert was the volcano de chocolate, and again very average,...Overall that was a big disappointment; the place was very quiet even though we came in late. There was nothing fancy about the decor nor the food. I would not recommend this place which is way too overrated!

Noble kitchen in the heat of the embers, where the oven of clay, fire and smoked are the protagonists. Classic and contemporary pastry. We provide a neat, pleasant space.
