This restaurant was recommended by my Hostal. I had the 16e menu and chose verduras tempura [battered beans], cerdero la brasa [lamb chops and chips] and natillas [custard]. This came with a bottle of red, water and a potato alioli tapa. Really nice and good value.

Although they offered an enormous platter of mixed meats for two people for 24 Euro, we chose to have individual dishes. The roast lamb was superb - an entire front leg! The pork was moist and not fatty, and a large serving. The cheesecake looked like a creme caramel but the flavour and texture were amazing. As with most restaurants in Portugal and Spain, the background music could be improved. The waitress spoke excellent English - the best we encountered in La Alberca.

This is a nice place to sit and have a cold drink or coffee and if you are lucky, the village pig will come to visit you, as it did me, a few times.

A lovely change in a meat predominant region to find this restaurant producing tasty modern Tapas with some non-meat based options. The food was tasty, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We ordered 4 tapas to share and then two desserts, but had only had a light lunch. The servings are not huge but this was plenty. Service was great. You can dine inside the quaint old house with lovely music playing or outside over the road on the terrace by candlelight. With 2 glasses wine each good value at â¬36

The upstairs dining room is nice, the service was okay, the food was average, the wine was good. Don't expect great food here, it is - as we expected - a place catering large groups which travel here by bus.

I made the decision to go to this restaurant after read some Tripadvisor comments. The restaurant is located in a singular village and it has a beautiful views (some of salons). It was completely full but we donât waited too much time between meals (booking is necessary at weekend). Good service, professionals waiters, spectacular meals (pimientos del piquillo rellenos de jabalà con salsa de castañas⦠ñami). They also have their own winery/wine, we tried one of them âla zorraâ as the wine is good, we asked for a winery tour and we could do after lunch. So I just say THANK YOU very much for your great food, services and good luck!

Stopped here for lunch on account of the menù especial. There were 4 of us dining on the menu and after different starters (all very healthy portions) we enjoyed the goat with fries. Great quality and quantity. Desserts and coffees (and a chupito) followed. Meal accompanied with water and wine. â¬23 each and well worth it!

We have been stopping in here for the past few years. A good spot to stop during a road trip for a drink and a tapa.It can be hit or miss, typically hit, when it comes to the attitude of the staff. The food is always great, stewed pig ears and all. The remaining tapas pale in comparison to the ears.

The really want to please. Their attitude is extraordinary and that makes the experience very enjoyable. The food is good, especially the ham and dry sausages. We were wrong following their advice on the local wine and asking for a âchuletónâ that they obviously did not know how to cook.
