We took a detour to Rovigo in search of food en route from Venice to Florence, and arrived at Pizzeria Due Torri just before their afternoon closing time. The waitress welcomed us in, and although the kitchen was closing she had them make up huge antipasto platters and plates of grilled vegetables for us. She even insisted on offering us coffees after we finished eating, although it was then firmly past their closing time. All with a smile! Genuine hospitality like that is harder and harder to find, so it's good to know it's alive and well in Rovigo.Everything was very tasty, despite the rushed preparation. The interior of the restaurant has a cosy, tavern atmosphere, with interesting original modern artwork on the walls. Overall we were very impressed, and on future travels in the region will make a point to go to Rovigo just to be able to visit Pizzeria Due Torri during regular hours.

On our way from Tuscany to Venice we wanted to stop for a last good tuscan-style pizza so i was looking for one on Tripadvisor and found this little pizzeria in Rovigo. After long dining sessions in Tuscany this was efficient - we orderded in 2 minutes, got our pizza in another 5 and finished within 30 minutes. I have to say this pizza was pretty damn good! Positively surprised! :)

Circa 25 euro a persona. Magari toglierei i dolci confezionati e aumenterei quelli fatti in casa. Sicuramente tornerò.

These pizza's are very thin, but very large an nice fresh toppings. The prizes are good. The white wine they served by the bottle was very good and out of the Veneto area. The place became very busy after 20.30 hours, with local people.

Back again. Two more gorgeous, excellent pizzas + large beer + bottle of mineral water = â¬30.It's obvious from the modern decor, the free appetiser, and the emphasis on tasty ingredients and huge choice that the owner has gone for making the pizzeria more up market than the usual local ones. The pizzas are enormous. There are over 120 options! There is also a small restaurant menu.Lots of street parking less than a 5-minute walk from the pizzeria, even on a Saturday evening.

My wife's family took us to dinner at this place located about 5-10 miles from the Rovigo town center. I was encouraged to order the seafood spaghetti, and so I did. The result was a huge platter of spaghetti with a large quantity of a variety of shellfish. It was fantastic! It was a challenge for me to keep up with my Italian friends, and so I did. I ate the whole thing! I understand the restaurant has a reputation for serving large quantities of food. If you have a means of getting there, such as a friend or relative, then you are in luck. If not, it is worth the price of a cab.

I came here several times while I worked in Rovigo. Kind waiters even in crowded nights, warm and familiar atmosphere. Only negative point the lack of alcohol-free beverages (except sodas), even if I observed itâs common in Italy. My last pizza (in pic) was very good: whole meal flour, vegetables (sweet peppers and arugola) and parmesan laying on an egg base. Easily digestible despite very tasty. Suggested!
