Been there more than 20 year after the last one and discover that really few things have changed...same owner, same fine mood, same good food. I personally like the pizza and the fried appetizer, and, off corse, the low price too ! Just sit down and enjoy it !

Restaurant Polentone is located in Rocca di Papa, in Campi d'Annibale 750 s.l.m. . A quiet place surrounded by woods . Polentone was founded in 1957. Managed in a family enviroment for 3 generations now it has developed over time professionalism and compe
... which is excellent.... but the service, waiting time and (un)kindness of the waiters brings my rating down.

This place is Brant to be an agrifarm restaurant, but the size and the number of guests they can host are so vast that inevitably the characteristic of such classification comes less.Food is ok, really, though they could improve with minimal effort. For instance, what's the point of serving a fantastic Local products degustation on a chopping board and use industrial artichokes? The meat selection, ok here too, but the quality is not as good as other more specialised restaurants serving only that.Desserts are ok if you stick on the homemade ones, and ice cream is not one of them. So pity, because the hot temperature of yesterday was indeed suggesting me to take one.Location wise, absolutely fabulous, and toilet - just too complete - are in an immaculate status (something rare considering the number of people been there yesterday).

This hidden gem on the Piazza Gariboldi is warm and inviting with friendly staff who speak excellent English and even when we tried to speak basic Italian were good enough to help with our pronunciation. The decor was well finished with traditional touches that made you feel that you were about to be served a good home cooked meal.As it was lunch time we skipped the starter and just went for a pasta course, mine was Pasta with Gorgonzola & Radicchio. which was first class. The wine was recommended and of course we went for a fine white Frascati recommended by the waitress which was excellent and not expensive at 20 euro a bottle. To finish I had the Tiramisu which was as light as a cloud. followed by a strong espresso to wake me up for the rest of the time walking around this gem of a town. This is a must visit restaurant and worth a trip up to this hill top town overlooking Rome. if you go around dusk and stand near the walls at the north of Frascati you will see the lights coming on all over Rome. Very atmospheric. I would recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

In a very nice village on top of the hill you find ancient buildigs and a very scenic view. Romoletto is a wonderful surprise. We got local starters with trippa chickpeas with mushrooms mozzarella goat cheese and salami. Do not forget local specialty arctichokes. Main courses are typical pasta like amatriciana or carbonara but do not forget meat. A great beef tagliata with porcini mushrooms an arctichokes alla romana. Service and price a very nice surprise

Just outside Rome, a small family-run restaurant where you can taste the flavor of traditional roman cuisine.Adriana, the lady of the house, won't let you go until you've savored her typical homemade pastas.Lose yourself between grilled appetizers and suc
During a recent visit to the amazing region just North of Rome my inamorato and I accidentally stumbled into this fantastic family eatery. They featured wonderfully imaginitive pasta AND creative meats prepared on the open fire pit. This is a 2nd generation Ma and Pa restaurant whose skillful son is the head chief. It is a wonderfully friendly spot which attracts locals from 2 hours away. We enjoyed locally crafted wine, outstanding cuisine and a huge dose of that famous Italian warmth and friendliness.

Best restaurant in Monteporzio, certainly one of the best in the Castelli area. First courses are remarkable. Good choice of wines. Friendly, but always discreet service. Highly recommended.

Coming back from a tour in Monteporzio Catone, we had booked this restaurant in advance as it had very positive reviews and was also recommended by some friends of ours. It's located in a privileged location with a cosy view on the village, a large parking area around it and a wide country-style dining room with a huge live cooking charcoal barbecue inside it. Genuine traditional local cuisine and a warm service were what we expected to find. And were not disappointed. An extensive range of starters were served, consisting of artichokes, Roman style (excellent!), savoury grilled vegetables (aubergines, zucchinis, radicchio, potatoes), lots of different bruschettas, salami and cold cooked meats. Afterwards we were tempted by tagliatelle with Porcini (very good) and then mixed grilled meat (chicken, lamb, beef fillet, sausage) with French fried potatoes and mixed salad. Cold beer and some rocket liqueur completed our tasty lunch. A typical restaurant with a genuine atmosphere and some specialties not to be missed.
