Il proprietario di questo locale, che lo ha rilevato da poco, è una vecchia conoscenza, così sono stato invitato a provare la cucina abruzzese. Il nuovo look della location è sobrio, bell'accostamento dei colori, è caldo, piacevole la mise an place. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, chi ci ha servito è stato cortese e disponibile.Veniamo al cibo. Gli arrosticini!!! Classici, tartufati, al fegato con cipolla, tutti ottimi. Da non perdere poi il tagliere con prodotti tipici abruzzesi, ottimi i sapori e accattivante la presentazione con delle piccole bandierine a descrivere gli ingredienti. Mia figlia ha mangiato un hamburger di manzo ed era molto buono, sia il pane che la carne, sicuramente di ottima qualità . Gradevole la presentazione delle patatine fritte nel cestello ed infine ottimo il rapporto qualità /prezzo. Per quello che si è mangiato abbiamo speso pochissimo.Insomma, si vede che c'è tanta voglia di far bene, di migliorarsi. Il vino è solo sfuso ma è della meravigliosa cantina del "Castello di Torre in Pietra", grande tradizione locale fin dagli anni trenta.Mantenete questo entusiasmo, grazie per la serata e buon lavoro.

Hubby and I know the area well and wanted a low key lunch someplace we had never been before on our anniversary. Found good reviews of Le Papere online and we were not disappointed. Food was fresh, delicious and served with care and a smile. I had pasta with clams that was superb and different from the usual spaghetti alle vongole because their's had a sprinkling of ground pistachios in the sauce and was made with strozzapreti instead of spaghetti - inventive, sophisticated and delicious. Followed up with fried shrimp and calamari that were fresh, light, crisp and perfectly salted. Only regret was that we didn't have space for desert. Will be back to try the millefeuille that looked delicious. Oh and when we mentioned it was our anniversary as we were leaving, the owner gave us a bottle of prosecco to take home for the evening -- really kind and classy gesture. We look forward to going back.I remember very well of you and your sympathy! many times thanks for all you have written for the restaurant and to have noticed our inventiveness in the courses. Me and my wife went to this restsurant racomended by our hotel nearby , i have to say was realy top top top, all local people we meet very good point so we told if local vome to eat here must be very good .we so passing few plates and were amazing so we decide to take misto antipasti di mare crudite we went over the moon never had so good fish then we take 1 tagliatelle homemade porcini funghi to share was realy the max.we finish with lovely house tiramisu end offecourse 2 limoncello . Lots of choise meat also ook very good good wine low price . Soooooo i raccomende to everybody this lovely restaurant fantastic chef Stevano lovely service . We will come back our next time in italy.

Read good reviews so went to this place expecting good food.Owner and staff are great, really friendly and kind.Location lovely, in the middle of a small square, with nice lighting and canopy.Food - average.Thoughts: They would do well not to specialise on having fish from the lake, most of which are small and thus underwhelming when served on a plate.Mains arrived simply as is, without vegetables or something to complement the meat. Left feeling that the portions were too small to justify the price and too small to justify fine dining. We arent big portion type people either - but if its small, then the quality has to be there, which it wasnt this time.Lovely people though and was glad to support them.Dear Stephen,thank you for the review and kind words.Our thoughts:1.Our fish is the freshest wild fish from the lake we live on. We serve it in FILET and so our portions are all cleaned, no bones, no head, nothing to discard; we cook it using 100% italian (local!) e.v.olive oil and the finest raw materials. if you don't see "quality" here, I do not know wherever else...For the same reasons, we do not think that 13 euro could be considered a high price for a wild fresh fish portion like this .2. In Italy, I mean in real italian restaurants, none serves a main course that includes vegetables or rice or anything else. In Italy, we have sidedishes to choose and combine. If you found anywhere a big plate with fish or meat and rice/vegetables or whaterver included...believe me, it was a touristic restaurant. And I'm sorry to say that these restaurants are not the best.3. If all our foreign visitors are so delighted by the quality of our food, maybe you should consider the idea that it's not about our quality, but it's about your taste.It's sad to say, but we can not meet the tastes of everyone in the world.thank you for your visit
