We decided to have lunch here given the recommendation of someone from Civitavecchia. We had a great starter composed of three cold and three hot entrées. Excellent! A must try! We ordered two glasses of wine and water. My husband had the gnocchi with some local lobster-looking fish and I had fish (italian name impossible to remember) with potatoes in the oven. Nice service, although not the best. A beautiful place, good food. I'm satisfied! About 30-35⬠per person, no dessert!

The elegant, slightly retro ambiance of the terraces overlooking the sea covered with Victorian style cast iron gazebos house, welcomes the guests to taste delicate dishes inspired by the Italian and the Mediterranean traditions. Our Restaurant has a gelu
Only a very small choice of dishes on the menu during my visit, (or maybe because I don't like cheese the choice is limited). however the waitress who spoke good English recommended a fish and pasta dish which was lovely, as was the house wine. can't fault the service.

any time I come back to Italy I make a visit to Claudio's reign in Civitavecchia the bistrot "Pane amore e fantasia" and I always find something new, something special. This time a great antipasto caldo e freddo, delicious fettuccine with bottarga, turbante di pesce bandiera with mashed potatoes and an excellent tender "tuna fish " incrosta with pistachos. Then for dessert a delicate "cannolo siciliano" and coffee. A large choice of wines with selected brands from different regions. We had a delicate, aromatic Gewurtztraminer from Alto Adige.thank you so much for your wonderful words.we are very pleased to know that we have customers outside Italy.see you next time. claudio

We ordered the steamed mussels which as soon as we tried, we ordered another bowl. The sardines tasted as if caught only that morning and were perfectly marinated. The fritto mista was lightly battered and fried crispy, you can eat everything. We also had the spaghetti vongole and a Sardinian kind of pasta with mushrooms, cheese and truffles . This was our best meal yet in this trip to Europe . Owners are a nice family with pops and daughter serving and mom cooking with one assistant. Definitely the must go to place if youâre in Civitavecchia!Thank you so much!!Saluti Giulio e lo staff

Friends and I dined here in October 2017. It was recommended to us by Giuseppe at our hotel (Traghetto) after we had a terrible dinner the night before at a different restaurant. The restaurant is not your typical Italian trattoria but an upscale place that serves creative dishes. After we placed our orders, we were served with two different amuse-bouches: One was parmesan crips topped with cream and duck (?); and the other toast points with cream and topped with sardines. Both were excellent. We were also given a beautiful assortment of breads and seasoned bread sticks, all fresh-made.One friend and I shared a plate of grilled squid with spinach (oh so good!!); my other two friends shared a plate of octopus with bufala mozzarella. We all ordered the spaghetti with mussels and beans. It quite different but unfortunately too salty. We also shared a bottle of red wine, Amicone 2013, which was very good. The waiters struggled with their limited English but we all managed quite well. They were friendly and helpful. Total: 20 euros per person. I recommend this place if you're looking for something different.
