Since the Sacro Speco di San Benedetto monasterio closes from 12 until 15h, visiting the basilic in the centre of Subiaco and have lunch in Ristorante Anieme in the meantime is an excellent idea. You will get splendid food for amazing prices. My wife and I both took a simple, but tasteful brusschetta con pomodori as starter (â¬1!), followed by an excellent fettucine ai funghi porcini. Together with a bottle of water, a beer and an espresso we paid ... â¬25! So, we got an excellent, quick lunch for an unbelievable price!

Visited the monastery and stopped here for lunch. We were the only people there given it was October and a Tuesday. The owner couldnât have been more accommodating and friendly. The menu is extensive with local dishes and one of my favourites pappardelle alla lepre (hare sauce). Exquisite followed by a very tasty green pepper steak. The Panama cotta was homemade and very tasty. The local house wine was very acceptable and only â¬7!

This is not the easiest restaurant to find, but I had heard so much about it that I persisted. Situated on the bank of the river with its own fish ponds, the river trout is fresh and subtly prepared. There is a decent assortment of wines at reasonable prices. The fish carpaccio delighted all. We sampled each other's pasta and each was content. The tiramisù, more custard than cake, was the best that I had had in some time. We arrived early, before the restaurant had in fact opened. As we sat on the veranda, the staff brought us antipasto and prosecco.

We had the tip to go to Subiaco using our guide. But we ended up at this restaurant really by chance, and we definitely don't regret it!We had a great antipasti (prosciutto with mozzarella di bufala), good main dishes (even though my partner regrets a bit her choice) and great tiramisu as dessert!Nice restaurant set up for the outside terrace (we ate outside), nice service (every in Italian only though) and prices of the area meaning... small! We can only recommend this place!

What a surprise. From the outside you can't tell what kind of place it is, but we liked. We ate 4 different kinds of home made, fresh pasta with very tasty salsas. Red root, cream, walnuts, pine and Gorgonzola to mention some of the variety. The locale is very colorful - definitely kitch! But stilish. Surprise is a nice way to give a good first impression. We are pleased that you liked our pasta. We take care of the decor of our restaurant: we always hope that our guests like the rooms of the restaurant. Thank you for writing this your review of our restaurant. We like to think that one day you will return to Subiaco. Best regards,Antonello de AngelisOwner

Everything about this restaurant is amazing. I had taken my friends to Subiaco one day to explore the monastery, and we discovered la Panarda. What an awesome discovery. The environment is personal and done with great care: separate tables in which to converse properly, beautiful linens, proper service with professional and charming co-owner/wait staff. The recommendations he made with both the food and wine were perfect. I would go back on a weekly basis if it were closer to Rome, where I live, but, alas, I will simply have to make more trips to Subiaco! I loved this restaurant. Hands down one of my favorite all time places. Thank you for being in this world for divine food.
