What a great experience we had at Wunder Kaffee. We were staying in Castel Gandolfo, but went here based on TripAdvisor recommendations. So far, only one review in English, which indicates it's not a tourist oriented place. But if you're staying in Castel Gandolfo or anywhere else near Marino, it is 100% worth getting out there! It's easy to reach by car and parking is not a problem in the (relatively new) parking garage off of Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. The interior is very cosy in retro style, jazz music playing in the background. They have a great (artisanal) beer selection and a good selection of wines. I enjoyed one glass of each.. Although it is mostly a local place, at least several people in the staff speak sufficient or good English. Simone was able to explain us the menu perfectly. We had very tasty seafood antipasti and pasta as main dish. The idea was to have a secondi piatti as well, but the first two courses were already enough for us, so we went straight to dessert. And wow, the desserts were delicious! We had a chocolate/orange cheese cake and a coffee/choco semifreddo. True delight..The staff was just wonderful to us, could not have been any better. Too bad we are leaving soon, because we would not hesitate to go back.10/10 from us to Wunder Kaffee. Thank you!! :)thank you and see you soon

We had a set menu mainly of seafood and pasta. It was pretty good and they had a music performance indoors which added up to the atmosphere. I would rather prefer the outdoor seating at night if the weather is good. Although not visible at night, a walk by the lake on the opposite side would be awesome afterwards

Since 1990
We arrived about 7:00pm, a little too early, which gave half an hour to explore the surrounding cobbles streets and add to an already brimming appetite. The welcome was warm and hearty and a waitress helped to with our order from the menu. Two of our diners are vegetarian and they both were very impressed with the fare on offer. I opted for the cockles, not sure what the Italian word for it is but they were succulent. I also had an unexpected course of 'escalope of pork' which one of our guests ordered and misinterpreted as 'Scallops' needless to say there were no complaints here as I polished it off and it was delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the food and wine for those that indulged were both excellent. Highly recommended...

Sono stato in questa villa per una festa di laurea di un mio amico e la trovo molto bella. Curata nei dettagli, molto pulita e con personale gentilissimo. Ottima la pizza con il forno a legna. Ampio parcheggio di facile accessibilità . Consigliato.

This is the best place of the Castelli Romani. The restaurant is situated close to the city hall. We offer a tipical Italian cuisine and speciality from France and Brasil. The restaurant is small and comfortable, it's perfect to spend some time with your
I had booked with TheFork, looking forward to visit the cozy small restaurant and guess what? A restaurant with I guess something like 20 tables does not keep track of seats shared online. This can happen for sure... What is instead less nice and elegant is when the owner himself addresses you saying: Cit. "not my problem if TheFork books more tables than I have!".If that's the spirit my dear... well get back to office work... that's the approach to survive there better...Rispondo solo con poche righe, poichè non merita nemmeno attenzione, lei è uno scorretto e falso.

the atmosphere is cozy and rustic and the service is friendly.the owners really care about their food.the menu is varied, interesting and reflects the season.the pasta is homemade.i had wonderful ravioli with a ricotta zucchini flower filling with butter and parmesan.the others had pasta with fresh fava beans and bacon, also excellent.the main courses were osso buco and involtini with an interesting simple side of potatoes with garlic and some local vegetable.i had fresh strawberries with creme chantilly,a friend had a jam tart, and the other dessert was also good.the price is right too.there is a garage nearby.we spent 3 euro on parking.
