Nice traditional place were everything you eat is fresh, well cooked and presented. The menu reflects simple yet tasty dishes, good pizzas, supplì, etc. House wine ok, plus other local wines. The service is very efficient, fast and friendly. Great for families, indoor & outdoors

Not too easy to find the first time but really worth the trip. About 30/40 minutes from Rome off the Via Cassia at the Campagnano intersection. The Casale is very nice, has great walks along the lake, nice B&B rooms and a very good restaurant/trattoria. Nicely varied menu, good antipasti & pastas. Great fish (Luccio) from the lake. Very nice deserts and house wine (plus wine list). Friendly & fast service. really worth going for a different evening or even a full day by the lake.
This restaurant is amazing! The food is superb, every dish is cooked with care. The service is very polite (not so common nowadays!) and the chef has a very interesting international background ((he can speak English and Spanish!). Thumbs up for the duck speck, the cheeses (carefully selected), the homemade marmaladeâs and honey. Loved the cacio and Pepe with artichokes and the skirt steak perfectly cooked. To top it all a delicious homemade tiramisù. Highly recommended. How unfortunate there is not a similar place in the City!

Living in Moscow and having the opportunity eating the best pizza in the world.Even better than Napoli. An amazing family run pizzeria even the owner Angelo makes his pizza from scratch easily 250 a day. Highly recommended to book if you want to avoid the loooong line up. Generous portion even the serving of pizza is bigger than the pizza plate!!!!!

Our first night in Campagnano Di Roma-this experience almost put us off returning-It didn't-please see my other reviews for the best eating out in this charming town.As soon as the owner realised that our Italian was limited, it seemed that he was keen to see us leave. It wasn't just that he didn't speak English-he made no attempt to make us feel comfortable. We had learned quite a bit of Italian prior to our trip, but this does not help with specific items on menus-eventually, after much discussion, an English menu was produced-had he forgotten he had one? No smile, no friendliness, from the owner or his 2 staff. I have given a 2 star rating because the food was quite nice-if you speak Italian give this place a go. If you don't, avoid and read my review for Iotto down the road

Best takeaway Pizza in Campagnano Di Roma. Just 20 yards from the Tourist Information Centre. Franco mans the ovens in the back room and you can see him hand making your pizzas while you wait. You can choose from their fresh daily menu on the wall, or like we did, just ask for you favourite (Black olives, anchovy and chilli) and he makes it all to order. Franco himself doesn't speak much English, but the two really friendly lads who man the counter speak it well enough and are really helpful. They even recommended we split each pizza up into 3 different toppings. Additionally, there is a selection of savoury treats on the counter to choose from while you wait-just say "subito".Be ready for Franco to come to the front and very excitedly tell you all about the ingredients and how long he took preparing them-in passionate Italian-and wait for his 2 guys to translate it for you. One day he brought out the huge joint of meat he had been slow cooking for 24 hours and cut chunks off for us to taste-all free of charge with a smile.and wait till you see the prices-great value for moneyCant get any better?-and they sell cold bottled beer.

I adore this Roman, family-run restaurant in campagnano. Dishes are traditional but fresh, tasty & exciting. I'm not kidding. Many hard-to-find old school Roman dishes such as minestra di broccoli e arzilla (broccoli skate soup), vignarola (broad beans, peas & artichokes), coratella, pajata... I could go on and on. Run by a lovely couple with occasional help from their kids. Menu changes all the time according to season. Desserts are home made by Ines. Wine selection is remarkable and affordable.

We love the Postiglione and when in Rome we go again and again , there is a truly Italian family atmosphere it is,family friendly and has great traditional food.We raccomend the antipasti especially which are generous using locally sourced products. There is a welcome to all from the owners making one feel truly special. The ambiance is pure reinassance and atmospheric.A great garden for pre dinner drinks and for the lovers of history outside the restaurant the remains of a Roman road quite intact!!! Great place!

Pizzeria with wood oven, situated in the center of Castelnuovo di Porto, a typical village a few kilometers from Rome, pizza dough with Roman and Neapolitan buffalo mozzarella cheese, home-made cakes.
Catelnuovo is well worth visiting itself, typical beautiful Italian small town. Italians living in Rome will either eat at their local place or if not, they will drive out of the city to find fantastic restaurants like Frantoio with real Italian food! The waiters are friendly and helpful, and it is not expensive! Order a mix of everything for the antipasti. You can drink good vines for less than 10 euros a litre. The pizza is marvellous, actually the best I have ever eaten in Italy. Everything is homemade! You can choose between many different pizzas. Just remember the pizzas are not small, two persons can easily share one. So if you get tired of the touristic places in Centro Storico, now you know where to go to see everyday life in Italy.
