This is a beautiful, airy restaurant surrounded by rolling hills and big skies, but it's the artful food and wine that takes centerstage. Everything is delicious and flavorful, delicately plated. Since all produce is all natural and sourced from the onsite farm, from the wagu beef to the berries used to cream the butter for pink frosting, the flavors are incomparable.I had perfectly poached eggs with shaved white truffles on butter fried brioche garnished with micro greens for one meal. Silky, richly marbled wagu beef and crisp, wafer-thin prosciutto came before the plump, dense tortellini stuffed with fresh goat cheese. Each bite, I washed down with a sip of the reasonably priced but excellent house white. Dessert was apple done three ways - each a work of art with tangy, sweet apple bites turned into tart, a moist cake, or deconstructed inverse pie. I only spent a day there, but time really did stand still, and I left replensihed, relaxed, and calm.

We visited the restaurant during our holiday in Italy - we were 15 and the staff catered for us really well. Have to say leave room for the antipasti - absolutely LOVELY! Great local wines. Revisited this when staying in nearby La Pergola. Nice touch of bread drizzled with olive oil and salt followed by beef with olives and a side order of beet leaves. It had clearly been cooking for hours. My wife had a grea pork dish. Very reasonable and very friendly staff. Will return in July.

Everything about this place is top quality. You get a wonderful welcome and outstanding service throughout your stay. The apartments are spacious, you can park right outside and its ideal if you have a dog. There are lovely grounds to wander around (vines, olives etc) It is peaceful and dark outside at night so you get a good quality sleep. Beds are very comfortable with good quality linen. The meals are prepared and served in the farmhouse and are made from produce of the farm. The dinner we had was fantastic ( and plenty of it) and was accompanied by a very drinkable wine. Breakfast too was lovely. I think the best part of the stay is the people. We have now stayed here twice and left feeling like we were part of the family. We were shown photos of the restauration of the house, invited to see the outside kitchen and given various fruits to try. These people are professional and passionate about their business. Thank-you for a wonderful stay and we are already looking forward to a return visit. Very highly recommended.

Stayed her once again on our way to Fiumicino. Rooms are simple and very reasonable. The restaurant is the star. In August, weather permitting, dinner is outside and my wife and I always have the same dish, veal chop freshly cut from a large piece of veal. Then grilled on a barbeque to perfection by the same man who has been cooking there since, at least, our first visit in 1999. A great last memory of Italy before flying back to Asia.We have already booked for our return visit in July this year.Many many thanks for your review!!!It is so nice for all of us to know that on the other side of the world, there are special people like you who love to come and visit us from time to time!I will be waiting for you to come back in July and I will be more than happy to make a special toast with you to celebrate this "super special" 19th anniversary with us!!!

Fabulous road side restaurant at a petrol station just off the A1 motorway at the exit for Magliano Sabina. Great service with an enormous smile and just fabulous home cooking with a limited but most satisfying menu. It may not look like much from the outside but the food is fantastic and just such good value e.g. a litre of local white wine for â¬5. An absolute must for both lunch or dinner.

Stayed for one night on the way from Rome, in Magliano Sabina, and read about this restaurant and it's recommendation and so decided to try it. What a beautiful and wonderful experience it was. Wellcomed by the owner and the chief, got explanation about all the dishes,home made pasta and homemade vegetables. Was one of our best dinners ever. The pastas were fresh,great and tasty, the meat portion was wonderful , and also the cheese and meat plate with the delightful bread, and the extras they gave us to try were excellent. Finally the desserts were also superb. You can feel it was done with love to cook.Must say we tried different portions and all were great. (as we were a family of 5 including children). The place itself located outside the main road, up on a hill,probably with a great view with daylight.It was a great experience and try not to miss it if you are nearby!!!

A Sunday afternoon lunch, high in the Sabine Hills, north of Rome, with an amazing view, sounds good - yes! Beautifully laid out restaurant, spacious and clean, with huge windows emphasizing the incredible view. Busy, friendly waiters and lots of families enjoying their food. I had a salad of mushrooms, rocket and black truffle - light and delicious. My friend had a cestino - a cheese pie with flaky pastry - that she said was delicious. The other had a gnocchetti - small potato balls in a tomato sauce - that he said was excellent. For main I had fillets of rabbit, moist, savoury and well seasoned. My friend had the duck in a moscato wine sauce - both were very good. Followed up by 2 delicious desserts and all washed down with a local white wine. This is probably a restaurant for locals, but if you are an adventurous traveller seek this place out (Michelin Guide). It's just off the autostrada and 10 minutes up into the hills. The food is excellent, the service very good, the price is very reasonable (E35 each, including wine!), the view is stunning and the surrounding countryside rivals any found in its more famous neighbour, Tuscany. La bella vita!

We happened upon this treasure of a restaurant. The partners were charming and the food absolutely divine. My husband had pasta with bacon, courgettes, cream and Parmesan and I had gluten free pasta with chilli, tomatoes, walnuts and Parmesan. We both followed with the tenderest veal cooked in two different ways, simple but delicious.The wines were affordable, local and good and we ended with a fennel and bay digestive made by Mamma, as was all the food. We dined in the pretty courtyard and had a very special evening.
