i ate here 4 times, and all 4 were very good. The salami when u seat on the table is perfect, and really really good. I had pasta with "salamelle" and was perfect. The dessert, you can die for it.

Buono, nulla da dire, posto molto carino e curato. Ma una cosa vorrei sapere: perché i conti alla cassa li può fare solo una persona che tra L altro prende anche gli ordini al tavolo. Mi è capitato di aspettare più volte alla cassa insieme ad altre persone ed è snervante e imbarazzante, anche perché di personale ne avete.

Small place, amazing meat. Simply DELICIOUS! Restricted choice of dishes but all are prepared with high quality products. Booking is necessary, especially during week ends.

friends had heard about this place and invited me. The restaurant has 5 fixed menus that everybody at the table has to choose. Apart from dessert all dishes are with pork or cow. I found the antipasti very original and simple. It included at classic dish with the different types of salume. Main course was two t bone steaks and a costata with onions, patatos and vegetables. The meat was cooked to perfection and we were in 7 and it was just right. Patatos and vetables was disappointing and for me the only negative remark.We shared the whole dessert card in seven and apart from a tired supra inglese everything else was fresh and well tasting.Included was also in the menu wine and water which was of decent quality.All in all when you compared it the price this menu is well worth the money. Quality meat and original anti pasti stands out vas what to remember.My warmest recommendations to this place which is wort a drive!

It was a Christmas feast I will never forget....(the title of the restaurant means "The Little Vulcano of the (village of San Giovanni) di Querciola" (which itself means small oak tree). It is located in the foothills of the Apennines and specializes in local cuisine (Reggio Emilia).I went with friends to this restaurant in a very small village where everything is grilled on an open fire and is a local speciality. It was amazing. There was no menu to choose from, they just keep bringing you food. I lost count after the seventh course. The first two courses were pasta (they weren't grilled, obviously, but they were handmade ravioli filled with spinach in butter, and then handmade tortellini filled with portobello mushrooms in cream sauce. Then the grilled stuff started coming. Eggplant, pumpkin, radicchio, pollenta, artichokes, potatoes, then various sausages and ribs and rabbit, again all grilled, and then my absolute favorite grilled cheese, served with roasted tiny pears, then dessert (lots of very fine pastries and petits-fours), and then a digestivo made from walnuts. It was amazing. The chef and the help could not have been more cordial and gracious.

We were staying about 1.5 km up the road at Hotel Cavazzone, and decided to try this restaurant. We tried to go there personally to book, only to be told that they were fully booked for the next two evenings, so just as we were getting back into the car, a member of staff caught up with us to say they could fit us in tonight if we wanted to arrive early. So we arrived at 19:30 hours, and were treated to some starters (Free) in the main dining room, all of which were lovely, from Brushetta to various meats, all of which were cooked to perfection. We were then shown to our table on the terrace, which had absolutely amazing views over the hillside & Parma / Reggio Emillia. we ordered starters and mains, including a T Bone steak which was devine. Desserts were also very good and home prepared. The wine list was very comprehensive and the staff knowledgeable about regions and the menu. Highly recommend.

After recommendation of our agriturismo host, we went to this really nice place. We made our reservation through Facebook! A nice warm welcome was followed by a superb menu that even included a bottle of wine and water! The restaurant took us on a fusion adventure of four courses packed with wonderfull flavours and portions! After dinner we even received a small bottle of balsamico as gift.We highly recommend it to outsiders whom looking some culinary surprises!
