Had a lovely meal here. This place is often missed as it is a unassuming place through the day but in the evening just go up the 7 or so steps( wheelchair access around the bavk) and into the restuarant and you will fins a loveky place where the food is great and at a decent price. I ordered seafood spaghetti which comes in a ceramic dish with a pizza base crust wonderful.

We arrived a little early, no booking required. We were greeted as old friends with smiles and kisses. We were given our choice of table. The restaurant was mostly empty, but within half an hour it was full with families and small groups. The atmosphere was amazing, with lots of conversation and laughter. It is obvious that the locals come here for good pizza and seafood, some for the football which is always playing on the flat screen TV. Payment at the till was a joy. I am always amazed how they can make so many pizzas including takeaways in such a short time. The quality is always the best and it appears so effortless.

Went for our usual Saturday night pizza. There were few tables occupied, so really not busy. It was a very hot and humid evening, they switched the air con on but it seemed to make little difference.We ordered our usual, the chips came quite quickly along with the drinks. We ate and our plates were cleared. Then we were left waiting for about an hour before the pizza's arrived and were ignored and not given any explanation for the delay until we complained after about 45 minutes . We thought this strange as very few tables were occupied. All the while we were melting in extremely hot temperature. We ate our pizza's and then left as we were uncomfortably hot. As we left, we understood the reason both for the heat and the wait for the pizzas. One big window had been left open at the front of the restaurant and people were ordering takeaway pizza without coming inside, we saw the pizza's being passed out. The takeaway orders were obviously given precedence over sit in, and the open window negating the air con! We particularly like Village Pub pizza but will be giving the venue a miss until they learn to take better care of their customers. The pizza was as good as always and obviously the most important aspect of a pizzeria but we felt very badly let down by the experience overall and our visit a far cry from their usual high standard.

Incuriositi dai famigerati spaghetti alla corte d'assise, decidiamo di prenotare un tavolo per domenica a pranzo. La scelta è stata ampiamente ripagata da un pranzo coi fiocchi. Iniziamo con antipasto al piatto con prodotti locali freschissimi, consigliati dal proprietario per proseguire con un bis di primi. I superlativi spaghetti alla corte d'assise (di cui il proprietario ne va orgoglioso e glielo si legge negli occhi) e pasta fresca con sugo di agnello, davvero molto buona. Il tutto accompagnato da dell'ottimo vino rosso locale.Ottimo il rapporto qualità /prezzo. Il valore aggiunto del locale è sicuramente l'atmosfera di convivialità che si respira e poi Gerlando, il proprietario, che con la sua gentilezza e il suo sorriso ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Ti aspettiamo presto a Bari!

A great location on sea front offering numerous styles of pizza, sea food was especially good and service good. Well worth a visit as the location is super and quality of pizza is awesome. Evening entertainment of music in background so choose well where you want to sit if you don't like karaoke.Special beers also supplied.

I didn't believe when I see with my own eyes that in Gioiosa was a PUB with the original Irish Black Guinness. But with you want the gold option, there is the HARP too. Wonderful portion of the potatoes with sausages! Definitely the best PUB in the South of Italia!

Beef is served on a heated stone and it finishes its cooking at your table, the quality is fantastic! Not easy to find great beef in Calabria, but Joe Pizza has it!! Great spot! Owner offers a great homemade chocolate liquor after your meal. Chips are homemade, great!
