I asked my Italian friend to dinner as a belated birthday gift, his favorite food is Japanese so he chose Star which is an all you can eat Japanese restaurant featuring sushi, some chinese food and cooked dishes. I understand the irony of going to a country whose own cuisine is superb and eating japanese but it was an unusual and interesting experience, I felt like I was back home in the Bay area for a couple hours. If you need a sushi hit and want to limit your spending you can come to Star and get reasonable, not great, sushi, the nigiri choices are limited, for a set price of 22 euro.

Quite simply the most delicious food in Lugo. I have eaten there 2 times and had food from their very generous vegan menu both times. Generous portions, well considered choices for lighter and more substantial meals. In the summer, they offer a special menu which is excellent value.

We heard about this place through a friend and booked a table ASAP. I'm glad we did as it was busy all night! The very friendly man explained the menu to us really well, in both Italian and English (for my benefit!) I had the middle size burger which was HUGE! My other half had the monster - the largest one! They were both delicious! You can choose as many of the extras as you would like included in the price. The fresh bread made a huge difference. There is excellent choice of specialist beers, and in general the place is really nice. Funky but relaxing. We will definitely be back!
