Ravenna once was the capital of the Byzantine Empire in Italy, and it still has amazing mosaics recalling that heritage. Also make sure you visit Dante's tomb, as well as the little pile of rubble where local residents hid his urn during WWII to prevent it from being damaged.

This restaurant is located on the main road to Ravenna, next to the motorway exit. It has a large parking, a sort of aviary zoo with different types of birds (flamingos, storks, etc...) and a landscaped garden used as photo background. The environment makes it a popular choice for wedding banquets, although it had a sort of melancholy feeling, not to mention the swarms of mosquitoes. The restaurant itself is enormous and it looks a bit like an industrial building filled with tables. We arrived at opening time, on a Tuesday night and were seated close to a large TV screen. Luckily the volume was off. The large room was promptly occupied by numerous families with noisy children. We ordered antipasti misti to share and due pizze, which were served on a wooden tray, in a nice presentation. We also had a carafe of white wine followed by one coffee and one grappa. The food quality was reasonable and the price fair. However, there was a mistake in the bill (they added two of the notorious âcopertiâ, as if we were four people instead of two). They were gracious enough to acknowledge their mistake. However, we will never know if the mistake was intentional or otherwise. Moreover, the restaurant totally lacks intimacy and atmosphere and I would not recommend it, unless you like the industrial feeling, lots of noisy children, TV screens and mosquitoes.

Bellissimo Giardino interno Ambiente tranquillo e rilassante
On a day trip to Ravenna, a beautiful Italian city with a medieval feel about it, we dined in the Corte pizzeria, quite close to the main pedestrian thoroughfare.Service was quick and efficient, although not overly friendly. We had sides of salad and chips, both generous and delicious. The pizza was everything you would expect from a popular Italian pizzeria - excellent on the palate and mouthwateringly presented. The lighting where we were seated was a tad insufficient and several diners commented on this. However, other parts of the restaurant were well lit and the outdoor court looked very quaint and inviting. All in all, a very repeatable experience.

I PASSATELLI , 1962 THE MARIANI TRATTORIA The name of our trattoria in the centre of Ravenna, âPassatelli 1962â, conveys the importance we attach to the regionality of our products; from the preparation of homemade, hand-rolled pasta and traditional Romag
In downtown beautiful Ravenna, there is this interesting and pleasant trattoria. Passatelli. Originally it was a cinema Theatre and the old feeling has been kept despite the modern and intriguing, yet beautiful renovation. The food is very good, (even for vegans and vegetarians), the service friendly and efficient. The name Passatelli comes from a very traditional meal in this area, a home made pasta based on parmesan cheese and eggs.Really worth a visit.

This little restaurant with a staff of three produced one of our best meals in Italy. Simple, fresh food presented well, and a decent wine list all at very good prices. Not surprisingly, most of the clientele were locals who recognise good value and good food.

The buffet lunch looked amazing and tasted just as good - all the dishes were fresh and distinctive (often buffets don't offer much variety). A big plus for me was that all except one was gluten free. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price reasonable. Highly recommended.

Having just spent 3 days in the city with 2 youngish children this was a lovely friendly restaurant / cafe. Costas our waiter was outstanding and we give all credit to him for us returning. The food was good (we definitely recommend the dumplings!), fast and tasty. The atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed and helpful (especially regarding portion size for the children). We had pizzas, pasta, hamburger and chips and yummy small donuts! The photos on trip adviser are really old and do not represent the current updated decoration.

Ristorante e Pizzeria aperti 7 giorni su 7 a pranzo e cena. Dal lunedi' al venerdi' possibilita' di pranzo con menu' del giorno.
Donât understand the rating for this place. It took a long time to get a table. The waitress was unfriendly, apparently she didnât like the fact that we were foreigners. The food was blunt at best, poorly spiced and overpriced. The couple next to us complained about a hair in her salad which the waitress didnât even care about. Our bill had two items on it that we didnât order and it needed a lengthy discussion to figure things out. Normally you canât go wrong with TripAdvisor, but this place simply sucked.

Absolute fab and very very delicious, best of Italian dishes! Pastas, seafoods, grill and pizzas are all mouth-watering! I love their pizzas, especially that in Italy, however the pizza capital of the planet, a lot of them are just too dry and boring, but the pizzas here have the gooey-cheesines, lots of toppings, soft and crunch combined, meaty, tasty and never rubbery:) Iâve tried all their pastas and even the very basic spaghetti with ragu sauce is such a dream with great authentic sauce and flavor. My husbandâs favorite, Gnocchi di Ricotta verdi al Gorgonzola is their unique specialty I guess, considering that he has been ordering this super dish for the past 20 years and canât find the same recipe anywhere else! Itâs not all potato white gnocchi but gnocchi with rich cheeses inside, gorgonzola included and greens in the filling. Deserts are yummy as well and the staff and owner are always friendly, interiors are charming and quaint, neither too big or smallâ¦any occasion will do here plus itâs sweet that the location is down a little slope from the road where its neigbors are the wonderful, rustic fields everywhere. All stars for this excellent family-run restaurant.

Today, from an idea of Stefano, Raffaele, Serena, Marco, Luciano, Matteo; at Our passion and from Our experiences the "Cabiria Wine Bar", while maintaining its tradition, has expanded in the proposal, giving life to his restaurant "Court Cabiria." Context
Dinner on the terrasse. Romantic atmosphere, some lounge musique would improve it further. Excellent service and advices from the sommelier. Their sea food menu, for 50â¬, is a good choice. You get to try numerous dishes, in small portions. Although well cooked and presented, i disagree with the reviews saying that the restaurant meets the bar for a 1-star Michelin rating. Still a very enjoyable experience.
