However, Quepos also offers vacationers a wealth of other activities to do as well. The nearby plaza has many fine restaurants, art galleries and souvenir shops, most within a short walking distance of your beachfront vacation rental. We came here for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, wanting to go somewhere a little different for our last night in Manuel Antonio.Everything was thoroughly enjoyable! The atmosphere is fun, feels more like a hipster bar than a raucous family restaurant. Our server Warner was super friendly and engaging, and, when he found out it was my parents’ anniversary, he kept bringing us gifts throughout the meal. The first thing you notice after you sit down is the menu. It’s chock full of descriptions and ingredients you won’t see in other restaurants in the area (heart of palm cheese?). All of our plates were delicious; I’d especially recommend the chilled cucumber soup, the Caribe Atómico hamburger, and the tacos de atún.They’ve only been in business for a short time, but I’m hoping they do well by serving up a different experience for visitors to Manuel Antonio. We’ll certainly be back next time we’re in the area.

The staff at the Rico Tico restaurant located within the Si Como No Hotel was top notch. We had the pleasure of getting to know Jorge, Marcela, Oscar and Allen during our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure our family was taken care of. The service provided by them made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcomed. The drinks were delicious, breakfast was excellent every morning and the local monkeys entertained us very morning.Greetings from majestic Costa Rica. We truly appreciate you taking the time to write such detailed reviewThank you for names of the employees that left a good impression on you. We will make sure to let them know their great job is being acknowledged so they can feel proud. Greentique Hotels

Luckily we found this oasis during our 3 nights stay at the hotel Makanda-by-the-sea. Our hotel restaurant was expensive with disco music - what a difference to Kapi Kapi. Excellent food and service, balanced ratio price-quality, soft music. After having found this place we did not eat elsewhere.Thank you for your positive feedback. We look forward to serving you again

We were staying at Makanda and basically took advantage of the room service.I met the Manager on our last day and he mentioned that we really needed to go to Arbol. He offered a bottle of wine and me, being such a considered person would not turn that offer down I am not one of those self-proclaimed critics but I gotta say food here is something special. It was 6 of us so we order a bit of everything to share and I even put my hands on the vegan options that Chef Ali created for one of my friends. Tenderloin with scallops was just perfect.Dear Sergio, Thank you for sharing your experience! We are so glad that you had the opportunity to come to our restaurants and enjoy the best gastronomic option available in the Central Pacific Area.Hopefully you visit us again soon, one more bottle waiting for you ;-)Have a great and blessed weekend...!!!

We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner at Le Papillon. The wait staff and the cooks (especially the omelette cook) were great. The view was awesome. We only had breakfast there 3 mornings, but after selecting our table the first morning, the host directed us to it the next morning, and on the third morning he greeted us with, "Let's go to your table." He not only recognized us after only one morning (and dinner the 1st night), but remembered where we preferred to sit.The butterfly motif is understated, but really cool given the name of the hotel and restaurant. Even cooler to see some butterflies flitting through. The fresh fruit juice in the morning was awesome - the only problem was deciding which kind to drink!Thank you for you excellent review, Itisjustus! We are thrilled your time was so great! It is not surprising that Laura, the omelette cook, take good care of you and made your breakfast so special. She is an important member of our team!We hope to have you back again for another amazing experience!!!!Pura Vida!!Manfred AriasGuest Relation ManagerHotel la Mariposa
