Reviews on International food in Santa Teresa, Province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Surf’s always up in the Costa Rican beach town of Santa Teresa. Bright sun and gleaming sands make the perfect backdrop to hang ten in the crystal-clear waters, and fishing, snorkeling and kite-surfing are popular among vacationers. Yoga and spa services are a must for the ultimate relaxation, and, at night, catch a glorious sunset on the same beach where earlier you caught a wave.

TIPSY is a cosy and vibrant wine bar in beautiful Santa Teresa. The ideal place to enjoy a well thought selection of wine by the bottle or by the glass, refreshing Costa Rican craft beers, a wide selection of premium gin & tonics, our famous cheese plates
We live in Chile and are always tasting new wines. We visited Tipsy based on Trip Advisor's recommendations and were definitely not wrong to follow! The place is small but rather cozy, the couple who runs it are very nice and amicable and know a lot about wines, explaining and making conversation without invading at all your nice little and intimate moment with the bottle. We chose a selection of local organic cheeses which were a perfect match. Later we had a reservation at another restaurant so we didn't spend that much time but in all fairness, we should have stayed and kept drinking and enjoying Tipsy!

This was quite frankly a great little restaurant. Great service, but unfortunately they managed to mix up my dish and another guys dish (I had the leg of lamb and he the shoulder - big difference) which we sorted out ourselves. Also a bit confusing when the bills come out in USD and they don't inform you of their exchange rate and you pay in CRC and it doesn't match up as you have another rate than the restaurant.Still... Tasty food, good service, nice ambience and the best served wine I had all two weeks.Hello! Thank you for your review. We are very sorry about the confusion with the dishes, we recently opened and we are still learning, trying to improve every day. About the exchange rate, we offer the prices in dollars to make it a little easy for the visitors, but we exchange the currency at the same price as the bank. We are glad you have a pleasant experience despite the mixing up! Hope to see you again another time!

This place isn't bad, just a bit unattentive at times. Both the tuna and mahi-mahi mains were good, although, personally, the tuna cold have gone a slightly shorter time on the grill. Also a great little salad on the side.Ok cover bands on Thursdays.

Our restaurant Brisas del Mar is rated as one of the finest restaurants of all Santa Teresa and Mal Pais. Cosy and friendly atmosphere await for you with amazing international dishes that can only be outraged by the incredible ocean view... Open to the ge
I've stayed at Casa MarBella four years in a row now and this was the first time we walked up the short path to Brisas. I can't even explain why we hadn't before but I'm glad we finally did. We ended up going twice. Once for pizza night on Friday and then once again for the regular menu. My entire family enjoyed the grilled pizza and we hung around until we were stuffed and had to waddle down the hill. I think this would be a weekly event for us if we lived in ST. The regular menu is spot on as well. I highly recommend the seafood tapas and the calamari tacos. For dinner I had the crispy tuna which was a real treat. This whole place has a really cool vibe with a great deck, some very laid back tables with couches, a funky bar and good music. I also thought the prices were very reasonable for the food served. One thing I did notice, it did not appear that they had included the 10% service charge on the bill that is customary in most CR restaurants. So tip accordingly.

We went for a birthday dinner with my husband. The menu is small but it's sure to please everyone. We shared the tuna tartare for appetizer which was delish - avocado, tuna sashimi with just a hint of sesame oil and wasabi and topped with mango. Served with fresh patacones - plantain chips. For main course we had the special of the day which was BBQ pork bandiola - literally falling apart from being cooked so tender with roasted potatoes and a fresh Asian slaw. And the Tropical shrimps stir-fried in coconut oil with pineapple and rice and Asian slaw.Portions were really filling. Menu had local brewed beers, wine and cocktails. Small place but super quaint. You might need to share a table if it's super busy. Fairly priced for quality and portion size. Definately recommend and will go back for that tuna tartare and to try their poke bowls.
