This little restaurant caught our eye as we were looking for somewhere for a lunchtime meal. What a great find! We chose from the set price lunch menu and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious and the glass(s) of white wine we had to accompany our meal was chilled to perfection and very enjoyable. The prices were so reasonable we almost felt guilty! The owner was friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English (he is also fluent in several other languages). We would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and were only sorry that we didn't have the opportunity to visit it again during our holiday.Dear HughandAnne ,Thank you for finding the time to leave your review. Lovely restaurant in a great location. Waiter very nice and attentive. If you're into sea food this is definitely one of the places to dine. We had Merluza (hake), which was good and cod, which was not so good, as it was totally undercooked and somewhat rubbery. Even after the waiter had it cooked a little more it was still not really great. So, perhaps next time!Thank you for your comments.The Chef remembers your cod. Sometimes the cooked piece is so thick that it can be a bit raw in the center. It's normal but not everyone likes it.We hope to have the opportunity to cook for you another dish that you like more in a next occasion.Best regards

What a location for lunch right on port of Carril with coastal sea views from all angles, no better way to enjoy the degustation menu at O Loxe Mareiro owned by Marcos and Iago of Abastos 2.0 in Santiago. An incredible concept and good way to discover the flavours of the Rias Baixas. Thanks for a great lunch Marcos! I will be back soon.WOW can describe this meal! Don't know how I took a photo of each dish, was dying to dig in

We had 2 lovely meals at Meson do Mar. The second meal the waitress was helpful and spoke a bit of English so made ordering easy. If you go try the salad with prawns and scallops
