This small restaurant with a Japanese cook Kazuyo and her Italian husband Simone, an oenologist, offers an excellent mix of the best products out of two culinary traditions. Fish and crustaceans, caught in the morning, are served the very day. We go there quite often since several years and we were always extremely satisfied. The choice of the wine, we can leave it with confidence to Simone. His selection exceeds the borders of Tuscany.

If you want a meal nearby your room, visit this restaurant! Nice pizza, and for dutch standards very reasonable priced! My wife asked for a glutenfree meal and they made some tagliatelle with mushrooms (which she asked for). First of all we were happily surprised that they had a GF meal and it also tasted delicious . For the meal with housewine water and softdrinks we payed approx â¬30,-. So we can reccomend this restaurant!

Well known since 1984, it is the good place to taste italian fish cuisine, traditional tuscan recipes and good meats. The wine cellar follows the commitment to excellence with Bolgheri and Tuscany wines, Champagnes and sparkling Wines, and a good selection
We noted this restaurant because of its mention in the Michelin Guide. We drove to Cecina, parked in a nearby street and walked in on a Sunday lunchtime hoping for a table without a booking. We were lucky - this restaurant should have been full, but it was not and we were given a table. We were greeted by the proprietor and his wife was our chef and also came out to our table to take our order, answer questions and check all was fine. What a lovely welcome! We tasted delicious antipasti, primi and secondi - all fish and seafood and all beautifully cooked and presented. I enjoyed two dishes with fresh truffles, which felt like a real treat! There was raw seafood as well as cooked. The cooking was confident and I felt I would gladly eat anything prepared by this kitchen. We even managed dessert and, upon choosing a homemade green apple sorbet, I was offered the option to have this with calvados and it was a delicious pairing I had not tried before. We ate with our children who were very much welcomed. We enjoyed our meal so much we returned just two days later to eat there again. Our bills came to around £130 and £150, which included a bottle of house wine on each visit, several bottles of water and also coffees. I felt this restaurant deserves recognition and many customers - we loved it and would happily return.Thank you for these wonderful worlds we are happy to read your appreciation for food and accommodation. We hope you'llcome again Arrivederci dalla Toscana!Gianluca e Rossella

We expected a smaller restaurant but it is close to te enterance and reception of a touristic residence. So we heard a lot of Dutch and German talking. Its a busy family restaurant. The food was good and the price was ok. Good red housewine.

This was truly terrible. It is such a great location and we were so disappointed as unfortunately that is all it is. The female waitress was so rude in a non verbal way. She threw our food at us and one main came 20 mins after the rest!! The dirty cutlery had dried food on it and we just got a rude stare and no apology when we asked for another set. There was only one other table there when we arrived so they don't even have the excuse of being busy!! The male waiter was more pleasant. The food was ok tho nothing to rave about but then again the service made everything taste sour. My mussels were stone cold. We had to ask for some bread more than once. We escaped as quickly as we could not really wanting to pay but not having a material reason not to. Maybe they had their poorest staff all in on 11 July 2017 evening? Or maybe they don't like Scottish tourists. Who knows. Sorry but Walk on by it's not worth a visit. Really really poor experience and totally spoilt our evening.

We enjoyed in this nice restaurant great fish, very originally prepared and presented. From the bread to the end of the meal all was of high quality, fresh and well made. I only regret the hosts have an obvious bias towards regulars and we, as tourists, didn't at all feel welcomed or treated the same way. Pity, it would have been great otherwise.

Forapaglia is so special to our family that we come back here in summer every year to enjoy the food, the hospitality, the warm en friendly ' green-garden' quality atmosphere and the stunning sea- and ' tuscan' view from the terrace on the balcony. The menu has various possibilities, including ' easy food' for kids. The owner and staff are very friendly, let them advice you on the wine. With good weather conditions, be sure to make a reservation on the balcony in advance. Inside the restaurant has a special atmosphere as well. Enjoy.

Local typical Tuscan with large panoramic terrace
Whilst staying in a nearby Agriturismo we found this hidden little gem of a restaurant in Riparbella, we were seated outside on the terrace and had an excellent meal. Everything we eat was top quality especially the home made pasta. All at a very reasonable price.

I discovered this place two years ago as I stayed at la Pieve vecchia hotel for a couple of days and have been coming back since. The food is fresh and cheap and service is very good. The head waiter is an especially kind and beautiful person. What is more it is a magnificent setting and kids can play on the swings and enjoy their time while waiting for the food
