Casale La Piaggia is a small agriturismo established in 2012 thanks to a real passion of the patrons for the true Tuscan cuisine and its forgotten traditional recipes. Most of the ingredients used are organic and produced by our farm Casale La Piaggia. Ou
What an amazing place! Thanks to great reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to visit this rural gem.The food was good, plentiful and truly Tuscan. Antipasti, pasta, meat and fresh vegetables, followed by a lovely dessert made us more than content. The house wine is special treat - something special , but not so out of the ordinary that it becomes odd. Spicy olives, fresh cherry tomatoes, lovely basil and home made olive oil were all lovely culinary surprises. The place is small, and the people are friendly. The proprietors take great pleasure in demonstrating their produce, their food and chatting with the customers. We felt welcome into an Italian family dining experience. The restaurant is outside, so bring a shawl or some bug spray if you are sensitive. The wine (both white and red) are for sale, together with the olive oil. There is no credit card machine, so bring cash :) Absolutely worth the drive Please visit - because this is amazing.

Everytime that I go to L'Uovo al Tegamino I expect to eat good genuine, good quality food, prepared from scratch by the local staff in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere...and that is exactly what I get. The menu changes very often and the pizzas are really nice too.The cooking of this great restaurant is a combination between Jamie Oliver and my Granny which means perfecton to me: traditional but fresh. Natural and tasty. Great professionality and kindness.

Not a place with extravagant décor or over fussy food. Let's make that clear. But for well cooked dishes (the proprietor's wife) using fresh produce and interesting combinations, and with no menu but rather a little explanation of what's available delivered by the experienced host, then this is almost unbeatable. We went here on 3 occasions during a short visit to Calci which speaks volumes. Other diners were locals. The place is a gem.

We stopped by chance, and we met an excellent bean soup, flavoury noodles "Antonio's way", and a real and most delicate crème caramel. Everybody else were there for barbecues, very attractive but over budget for us (45 kg ⬠Florentine). Price: medium, suitable with the quality (about ⬠10 a first course, ⬠15 for meat)

Not many customers on that weekday for lunch. Nice welcome and kind and efficient service. The waiter helped to translate the menu. We opted for a seafood platter and pasta with black truffle as starters, followed by pigeon and osso bucco as second dishes. Everything was excellent. Reasonable portions.Excellent deserts. Cost for two with two glasses of wine, coffee: 130EUR.

I had lunch with some friends last weekend at La Dea Partenope. Th restaurant is placed greatly for people travelling in Tuscany, especially for those going to the Pisa Airport. We had gnocchi alla Sorrentina, spaghetti walnuts, black olives, aglio, olio e peperoncino and tagliolini with shrimps. As a second dish we had polpo and friarelli. As a dessert we got pastiera. All the food was great the only problem is that there was only a waiter to attend all the customers (and there were 5/6 tables of 4 people each) so it took some time to have lunch, but the food was great and the price was not too expensive either. Great place!

The food was very good and the location was just right to enjoy Cascina's free entertainment.I can recommend the fillet steak in particular and the house red wine was very good.
