My wife and I stopped here for drinks as we drove through the Tuscany hills- From the outside it does not look much- however it has a lovely feel inside and the staff were very friendly and helpful.This is a gathering place for the local village and is filled with locals passing the time of day.Also good prices.

The place does not look encouraging. The menu is very short. Prices are not displayed. Only one bottle of dry sparkling wine is chilled. Nobody speaks English. But the home made food is absolutely delicious. And people share the love regardless of language barriers. They are also flexible to change their opening hours. The starters are fresh and perfect. The main courses delicious. The pizza generous. The desserts superb. Do go there. Or have take-away. Great time guaranteed.

Tijdens onze vakantie kochten we dagelijks ons brood en vleeswaren bij deze behulpzame dame. Heerlijke gedroogde ham voor een zeer redelijke prijs. Het blijkt het trefpunt voor de lokale ouderen die je vaak vriendelijk voor laten gaan omdat ze niet zoveel haast hebben als die gejaagde Hollanders.... Je leert hier wel onthaasten en dat is maar goed ook!

To be in the Tuscany Hills is a delight itself but to stay and eat here is magic. We had an apartment which was large and very comfortable. We were advised if we wanted dinner they would cook for us, they have a wonderful restaurant but sitting out on the terrace to eat was wonderful and romantic. The food was fabulous and the wine excellent, each evening was just a delight. Breakfast with a view of the rolling hills is just so special. The location is excellent to set of in the car exploring the region. This place is an absolute Gem.

Di passaggio in moto ci siamo fermati per pranzo. Abbiamo gustato carne in vari modi, più alcuni piatti di crostini. Cibo buono e buone porzioni, dovendo guidare solo acqua ed alcune birre. Personale gentile, servizio non molto rapido. Ambiente normale e pulito.Utilizzando il mio metro di valutazione ( da 1 min a 5 max): qualità 3,quantità 3 , prezzo 3, servizio 3 , ambiente 3.

This is a truly amazing place. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, romantic place, that's the place to go. The restaurant itself is worth a trip. There was no menu when we were there; only recommendations and a few options to chose from. But even better so! It was incredibly delicious and fresh and just amazing. We will certainly go back! Thank you Mauro, we loved it. Dinner/12th October 2010.

I was here two days with my husband at our honeymoon.We were both very satisfied the first day, so we chose to come back the following day to try other kinds of pizza . We had bruscetta with tomato for starters , this was good with fresh basil and garlic .The staff were both kind and funny and there was a good atmosphere in the room. My favorite was Diavola . We would both recommend to others that cozy restaurant to others.

During our 10 day stay at Castelnuovo, we visited twice for lunch. Both times we were greeted and welcomed warmly and had amazing food! The place is very cozy and home-like, with 5 tables inside. Definitely the best food we had during our trip! They also had a separate chair for our baby, and welcomed our 9 month old babbler with a smile :) Thanks for the great visits! We hope to be back someday!
