The venue itself was lovely, and we had a beautiful view of the ascending moon in idyllic surroundings. However, the problems were apparent very early on. We were totally ignored upon arrival; we waited at the reception for a significant amount of time before we were acknowledged. After sending back the first bottle of wine, we could not drink at least 20% of the second bottle (even after being decanted) due to the amount of (really quite distressing) sediment.The steak arrived raw, and was not of a good enough quality to warrant being returned for further cooking. The two fish dishes were overcooked and tasteless. The salad was fresh, but the chips were certainly cooked from frozen. The service was disappointing: our waiter was the only member of staff on duty, despite there being a large pre-booked party. This meant that he was stretched beyond capacity, and we were kept waiting for far too long. The management should take note of this, and provide adequate cover in future. Overall then, incredibly disappointing, all the more so for a great deal of potential.

We spent a nice evening here with our family. The cheese and meat antipasti was very delicate presented and tasted great. The pasta and the bread were delicious. The kids had proper pizza made in the brick oven. Wine tips from the waiter were also very good. A little strange that this restaurant - which filled up with people over the evening- showed music videos from the 80's on a big screen. But don't let that stop you from going. High quality food- nice staff and very family friendly Thank you for your comment. Iâm sorry for the tv program, usually we show the Remo Busty documentary (the founder of Caseificio Busti) or a video of the dairy during the production.Thank you,

We were staying nearby and wanted to purchase some local cheeses and meats to enjoy at our leisure for snacks. We drove here, parked nearby (gps had hard time finding this address) and were greeted like we were family. In our limited Italian we tried to communicate what we wanted and miraculously they understood. They let us sample cheeses before purchasing and yes we purchased some for the moment, vacuum packed some for later, and for travel back to USA. The pecorino cheese was sublime and the sopprasoto/salami was amazing. We not only went once but came back a second day and purchased more and enjoyed our time there visiting with the people there. We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in the area of Lorenzan. The food is freshly cooked, quite different from many others we have seen, since it specializes in sienese and Pisan cooking. The service is most heart warming and especially friendly, the prices are moderate.There is an outside terrace or inside rooms which are furnished nicely and comfortable.Inside is an air condition.

I've eaten at La Locanda di Camugliano twice in the last month and both times the food and service have been excellent.I highly recommend the Spaghetti allo Scoglio, Spaghetti with fresh seafood was delicious !!The locanda has a lovely relaxing atmosphere, great for romantic dinners and parties.

We visited Il Rosso Della Paola as a big party to celebrate my grandparentsâ diamond wedding. Even with a table of twelve of us, the service was very quick, super friendly, and the food was wonderful; real Tuscan cuisine with an emphasis on truffles in a lot of the dishes, which was lovely. I was especially a fan of the rabbit cooked on a low heat which was the most tender meat Iâve ever tasted!Dear Chris, thank you for your review, we are pleased to know your opinion about our cuisine and our staff. We dropped in for dinner this week and was not disappointed. Lovely fresh homemade pasta. Fresh seafood and wine. Very fair and reasonable prices. Served up in the friendly way that Italians know best. Nice setting in a typical Tuscany style outside courtyard. We have a house nearby and will be back very soon. Highly recommended.Thanks for the review and above all for the way we welcome and serve our guests. We are waiting for you to taste our typical Tuscan dishes

We had a very nice dinner in Lari. I Burattinai served very good food by kind English speaking personnel. The card was in three languages. Pasta came from next door, Martinelli. The steak with gorgonzola was tasty. The location on top of the wall was top!I recommend this place to all families visiting this awesome area!

Great menu, good service and lovely setting. Shame not more choice of food and shame they weren't busier.Seafood pasta was heaving with seafood, steak cooked to perfection and cheesecake to die for.
