Although it looked closed from the outside, this restaurant turned out to be an excellent tripadvisor recommendation. We were about the only people dining, and so the atmosphere was limited, but the setting - ini a pretty courtyard - compensated for this. The food was interesting acorss the menu: a lively array of antipasti, and some imaginative twists on the standard primi. The pasta stuffed with ham was delicious, and my sife said the same of her gnocchi. The wine list is extensive - lots of local wines, with a sensible price range - and we were able to get a very good bottle of Gutturnio for about 10 euros or so.

This restaurant is situated in the centre of Piacenza, at the edge of the historic quarter and just off Piazza Cavalli. Its just inside an arcade, so might be missed at first. It offers a range of eating options - from pizza (including takeaway) to full three course meals. It has a good wine list, and the food is very good. It is also open on a Monday evening which some restaurants in Piacenza are not. Service is good from friendly staff.

Closed on Sunday.
we arrived in Piacenza and asked at our B&b for suggestions for ristorantes and La Carrozza was one of a few as it had a very local flavour timers menu. It was easy to get to from the B&b , we were greeted by friendly staff and although we hadn't book there were a cole of tables free. And the menu had some quite local style meals. We found the food very good and full of flavour. Of interest to us was the wine could be drunk from white china bowls which was a first but apparently a local traditionThe service was very good the menu had plenty of choice and it was well priced
