We got the impression this place was new or under new ownership. Perhaps that's why it was trying to be what it isn't - to stand out from the crowd. The 'not as stylish as it likes to think it is' observation refers to the food as well as the presentation/table setting. Rolling the serviettes into long and awkward cigars doesn't really disguise the fact that the table mats are sections of laminate flooring (though actually this could be a good idea, if the fitting groves were cut off). The food was tasty and we'll prepared, but portion size was variable and most more tasting menu size not main courses in most people's eyes. I don't think I'm unusual in expecting more than 6 one inch (25mm) squares of meat when ordering suckling pig.Giving us English menus and then not understanding our order in English added some comedy to the meal - but at least they were trying to be accommodating and of course this doesn't really excuse us for not learning more Italian. It might of course get better, I hope it does as it was an interesting menu.

Wine bar with great food! Iâve visited many times this wine bar: they serve excellent wine (glass or bottle) from their own winery. Food is also excellent and the price is extremely low (1 glass of wine and 1 tagliere of delicacy: 10â¬). Very close to the station in a quiet area and open 7/7. Service is great too. Iâll be back soon!Dear Federicant, thank you for your time. Our shop is born for sharing the passion we put everyday in winemaking. We really appreciate your review. Regards

Wine Wine is kind of intimate and informal, offering a small array of traditional dishes. Although we thought that the starters were pretty average, the pasta dishes (orecchiette with cime di rapa and spaghetti with baccala') didn't disappoint at all, actually they proved to be simple but exquisite. What won me over was the friendly and attentive attitude of the staff which made us feel very welcome and looked after.

Kind of alternative for the local average with electro-swing music in the background. Informal attitude. As for the food, yes, the "Pallotte" (egg and cheese balls in a tomato sauce) were very tasty (and an interesting alternative to the usual meat balls); the rest of the dishes were pleasant enough, although not memorable. As for the service, it was really amicable and welcoming at the beginning with our waitress but once she left, they basically forgot about us altogether. The potentials are there.. But this experience hasn't quite done it for me.

We had vegan salad and vegan sandwich both of which were interesting as well as very tasty. The service was friendly. There is no English menu but the host is most helpful. Wine choices have many local varieties.

This place restored our faith in the ability of Abruzzi to cook fish. Choice of pesce crudo included oysters, smoked salmon, tuna Tatar, marinated anchovies and shrimp. Grilled pesce spada was fresh and not a least bit dry, paccheri with crab and shrimps were good and spaghetti frutti di mare even better, with perfect dose of garlic, parsley and laurel leaf. Very good white from Chieti. Friendly, attentive service, prices more than reasonable. Definitely weâll go back.
