Five of us had dinner here, and it was a nice experience.The restaurant is in an historic building. Spacing between tables is wide making for good conversation and low noise level.Our group split as to the entrees, with several people ordering the pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and others going with the roasted suckling pig. Both were good, but the pig was the favorite with moist meat and crispy skin.We were split again for desserts with some ordering the nougat semi-freddo, and others the dark chocolate brownie. Again, we shared and agreed all were very good and probably the best part of the dinner.The house wines were good and a great value.At the end of the night we agreed that it was a good dinner, but not the five star experience the reviews had us hoping for.

On our first night in the Assisi area, my wife and I had the pleasure of finding his restaurant open on a Monday night, during the summer. Some of the other places were closed, however this restaurant is atttached to a hotel. The food flavor and quality was excellent, as was the presentation of the food. I had rabbit ( a treat for an American, and a local favorite) and my wife had a chef antipasti dish of a variety of fresh fish (not a regulalr type of item in the middle of the country of Italy). The service was excellent, courteous and quite helpful to us considering the difficulties we had in communication.
