Very nice restaurant - Pizzeria with more than 100 seatgreat for groups or families. Situated close to the Cathedral and the Oratorio della Nunziatella.
I went last Friday with a group of my friends and ordered the gnocchi with courgettes, saffron and steak. It was one of the nicest meals I've ever had, and at such a reasonable price! The atmosphere was great and the staff couldn't of done more to help. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Umbria area as it's the most friendly place we ate on holiday!

I ate here 3 times during my stay in Foligno simply because it was fairly priced, convenient location and the pizza was good. The pasta was marginal. The first 2 times there was only one server working and she took care of everyone by herself. The final time the restaurant was busier but only one of their dining rooms was full and they had 2 servers working that night. As soon as I entered I was immediately told they couldn't serve me. Seriously? You have 2 people serving, 1 dining room and you can't take 1 more person? Ridiculous. Absolutely absurd. I was the only non-Italian so perhaps that was the issue. I don't know. I did get them to agree to make me a pizza to-go but I could tell they really didn't want to do so. They would never last in my town with that type of attitude or behavior. That said, if you want a pizza and if they don't have more than 10 people in the place, it's good pizza.

When we entered the restaurant we had low expectations. How wrong we were. Excellent food throughout but the dolce, tiramisu was the very best ever, and we have had a house in Italy for 12 years!

I looked for a place where to eat baccalà in the area, and the only one that came out was Pizzeria Ristorante Vesuvio. I would not define this place a restaurant due to the fact that they serve food (mostly pizza as I could see) almost like a fast food: there is very low contact between the client and staff and the waiters (very young but polite) that deliver the dishes to the table and do not really know what they are serving and who are the clients.I went with a friend at dinner last nigh and both of us ate baccalà that was well prepared; the "paccheri con ceci e baccalà " did not have much baccalà , but a lot of ceci (garbanzo beens, canned?) and (good) cherry tomatoes. The flavors were not very well mixed and amalgamated. It seemed like if everything was mixed together at the last minute: a good pasta with tomatoes, anyway. We also had fried baccalà that was well prepared and well cooked, not greasy. My friend had a "passata di ceci con baccalà arrosto", that was well prepared and presented. Finally a "babà al rum"well cooked, but with no rum flavor. No emotions, unfortunately, just a decent meal.Short list of wines.A little bit too pricy for what you get.

We stumbled upon this unique pizzeria one day while exploring Foligno and we had to return a few times before leaving the area. The "local" pizzas are made into sheets, cut into squares and then two pieces are served together on top of each other. DELICIOUS! The staff wore the traditional white hats and uniforms and they all had smiles on their faces. It is a tiny location where most order and take away or there is room for a couple of people to stand and eat. They are closed on Sundays and during the afternoons between lunch and dinner. As of our visit, there was no official sign on the shop when it was closed. When open they have two removable "pizzeria" signs. Grazie alla Pizzeria Mancini!
