We went there in June twice and both visits where great. Started with crostata ai porcini followed by home made pasta with tartufo and superb Fiorentina steak (make sure that you have enough room left because they don't come small... great atmosphere plenty off local people reasonably price very good value for you money

Ci siamo trovati lì di ritorno da un viaggio e abbiamo scelto questo B&B come sosta e devo dire che è stata una scelta perfetta. Sistemazione pulita ed accogliente e colazione molto familiare!!

Love this restaurant. Our waitress, Gloria, is very friendly and knowledgeable. Food is outstanding. Had mixed charcuterie (very generous portion), pistachio crusted lamb, pineapple carpaccio dessert - all delicious. Place is quite small and very popular so make sure you reserve a table.

This is what Italian food is about: lovely fresh pasta, in a quiet corner of the city, with very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
We booked ahead and arrived a little late. We had driven for an hour through the dark, mist and rain, along some very windy, steep roads, so it was very heartening to be greeted warmly on arrival, and shown to a table right next to the roaring fire (of the pellet heater variety, they are great!). The pizza was delicious, and we enjoyed chatting with one of the owners. Would like to return in the Summer to enjoy the wonderful view. At the moment Il Palazzetto is only serving pizza, though that may be different in the Summer.

We have been going to ill Poggio for around 5 years and have never had a bad pizza be it takeaway or sit in.The restaurant sits at the base of monte santa maria tiberina and has a large dining area and small bar and outside a playground for youngsters. The service is very good with Fabio and his family looking after you and a well set out menu ,my personal favourite is the perugina with courgettes. The Porchetta is delicious too.enjoy

After family members had used [with most satisfactory results] the well-being part of the complex, we subsequently returned for lunch. A good meal although the youngest might have wished pizzas were available rather than the rather pesante carbonara bake. Others enjoyed a mixed grill and the beef. The service was good and the ambience very adequate considering we were in a remote area on the Umbrian/Tuscan divide.

We called in here with no reservation but were welcomed and taken to our table overlooking the city walls and beyond. The menu is handsome and varied. We chose the bruschetta and the meat slices as a couple. Our fiends went for the gnocchi and clams and loved it.Two fine bottles of local white and a red were an absolute delight. Service excellent and some English to help with selections , atmosphere was just about right and four mains and 2 starters to share, excellent wines weighed in at 143 Euro. Would be very happy to return to this establishment.

We were staying nearby so visited this restaurant twice. Absolutely LOVED the food - I'm having dreams about the mushroom ravioli! We also had grilled lamb chops that were delicious and a mixed platter of appetizers that was outstanding. Service was good and the views cannot be beat. The tiramisu with a shot of sambuca on top for dessert was decadent!!

The is a listing under hotels on TA but nothing under Restaurants. You don't have to stay at the hotel to eat there. Cuisine is Italian. But your page of questions would not highlight that!
Not far from Citta di Castello, drive through Lerchi and look for a sign on the left for the tiny road to Celle. Drive up and up to arrive at the Ristorante of Borgo di Celle. This is a lovely place to eat in the warm weather months. Possibly not at weekends as they cater for celebrations including weddings. A delicious lunch for two with good wine set us back ⬠75 in total. The setting is panoramic and close to the Pilgrims Way, (via Francigena). Naturally the water was San Pelligrino! The staff are kind and the piped music can hardly be heard in the elegant, tented dinning area.
