The Restaurant " Redibis " is born from the awareness of a unique location and the will to save it from the obvious museum logic, in order to make it host the ancient ritual of dinner instead. We are in the Roman Theatre in Bevagna, built in the first century AD, probably under Emperor Trajan. A timeless setting along with an experimental and contemporary cuisine, able to give a gourmet experience out of the ordinary . Good food and wine are for us a passion, almost a religion. From this great love of ours "FOODIE" project was born. We've been professionals of food and wine for many years, real lovers of good food, and our purpose is to convey to all our guests the thrill of an unforgettable dinner. We are loyal to Italian traditional cuisine, but our eyes are always facing new trends, we are curious by nature and we like to experiment. At Redibis you can enjoy traditional dishes with a modern twist.
The location was stunning inside the entrance (ambulatory) to an Roman Amphitheatre from the first centuary, that once seated 8000 people. We were in a curved hall with a high ceiling. That said there was only one high up window and only the internal view....MoreSir, let me just say, on a personal title, that your review is of extreme bad taste. G. Buti, maitre d

Excellent, Very very busy on a Saturday lunch. Great atmosphere. Best meat menu ever and reasonable prices per Etto. Steak, fillet, Vitello, wine at a reasonable price for such a popular restaurant. The best restaraunt in Citta Della Pieve according to the locals. If you have a prima and a secondi you won't need a pudding. ......
Always book ahead. Family run restaraunt and Nonna and Nonno are still involved. Very good staff , helpful and friendly. Family friendly , clean toilets, disabled accessible.
Open kitchens so you can see your food being cooked as long as you get a table at entrance level.

The food at Vespasia is amongst the very best I've eaten anywhere in the world. The menu choices are fantastic but equally wonderful are the chef's delights which just keep n appearing between your ordered dishes. The staff were attentive and helpful and the wine list exhaustive. Can't wait to go back!

We came to dine at this special restaurant on the recommendation of an Italian guide book updated in 2015. It considers this restaurant is one of the best 10 restaurants to try in Italy in 2015. We came with the high expectation and left with total satisfaction. The welcoming little antipasti (different kinds of local cheeses, pizzas and bruschetta with prosciutto) were delicious and beautifully presented. We ordered 3 different antipasti, ranging from the 6 years old aged prosciutto from Umbria that was sweet and not dried out, to delicate and light eggplant parmigiana to a creamy baked egg with foie gras and truffle. The creaminess texture was the result of the long low temperature cooking at 60 C for an hour. I appreciate the texture and innovative approach though I did not really taste any foie gras. The home made pasta wild asparagus was one of the best pasta that I've ever had anywhere. The texture of the pasta made with grano duro and egg white was firm with a bite to it. We ordered four different desserts and every one was excellent but I have to say that the gelato of pastiera blew my mind away. It is created based on the traditional Pastiera Napolitana filling, but instead baked in a tart form, it's made into gelato. What a great creation. If anything to be less than perfect, it was the main course (turkey breast roll filled with foie gras). The owners/chefs are passionate about the quality of their ingredients and it definitely reflects in their food.
In addition, we ate on the Terrace with beautiful view. It was as though we were dining in a private garden. The service was warm and attentive. They did so many little things to enhance our dining experience. For example, two of us ordered the pasta dish (primi) and two of us did not. While they brought out the primi, they also brought a small taste for the two who did not order the pasta so that we did not just watch the other two eating.
Oh, don't miss checking out their restroom. Even the small aspect demonstrates their attention to details.

We had discovered this fantastic restaurant in Umbria four years ago. It was one of those places that we still talked about, "remember that restaurant in Umbria...." Well, we were delighted to be able to make the drive from Spoleto and return for another wonderful dining experience. I'll leave it to others to describe the marvelous dishes that they serve. Just trust me when I tell you that it's well worth the drive to the small town of Sellano. We look forward to returning someday. And hopefully it won't take another four years!

An amazing evening with great company (my wife). Giorgio, our waitress, did a fantastic job explaining the elements of each dish and recommending items from the specials board. I had the second best cheese platter I have enjoyed in Umbria since a meal for my birthday at the michelin starred Vissani. They the baccala montonese for main course and a dolce from the monte corona monastery near my house. We sat outside under the arches which was full of atmosphere and had a fantastic evening, made better by the attentiveness of the staff who worked hard to look after us without being intrusive. The owners have assembled a great team at this restaurant and obviously worked hard to teach them about the food and wines on show here. Definitely will be back. Tip - we arrived early and had a drink in the square and watched the world go by before walking the 20 metres to the restaurant for dinner.

La Casa Rosa is not merely "the local restaurant"; it is the heart of Castello di Postignano. The cuisine is simple and traditional. Its philosophy is also simple: respect tradition and use only the best ingredients. Hosts Michele and Maria Fulvia, immediately make you feel at home with warm smiles and friendly conversation. Chef Maria Massimiani will tempt you with her delicate but wholesome dishes and her fine cakes and biscuits and irresistible desserts. Maria Massimiani's experience brings to your table traditional Umbrian dishes and recipes from all over Italy. The essence of her cuisine lies in her use of in-season local produce. Our cellars offer a selection of the finest Umbrian wines as well as many other Italian and international wines. Beer lovers too will find excellent local brews as well as the very best beers from other parts of Italy.
Take a little drive up from Spoleto off the beaten path to find this castle on a hill where there is a beautiful little restaurant with some of the most incredible views you have ever seen. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is as fresh as can be. And the menu is traditional, yet surprising, offering something for everyone. A fantastic treat! And the people here are absolutely wonderful, loving, kind, caring artists of food and service.

We had lunch this day at L’Angolo del Buon Gustaio. We had been here before in the evening when we first got here. My husband had a small plate of meat and cheese and I had the Fagiolina bean soup. I really like these beans of the area and am so glad that I have bought some to take home with us. I just have to learn to cook them! We sat out on the street and enjoyed the atmosphere of village life.
The staff were all amazing - our waitress was Nadia and she explained all the meats and cheeses and gave us a run down on the wine - she was extremely good at her job. Nadia and her boss were both so friendly and really made us feel welcome. Don't just be one of those people who walk past and look in - go in, or sit outside and enjoy the wonderful hospitality of this place - they sure know what they are doing!
