Things to do in Cefalu
I was excited to see two vegetarian options on the menu. But this was served by a very rude woman. The bun was stale and the chickpea burger fell apart it was so dry. I threw it away and didnât eat. Theyâre obviously very popular so maybe their meat options are good and they shouldnât bother with the vegetarian options as they clearly donât care about their vegetarian customers.

We ate 3 times here during our 4 night stay in Cefalù. Tasted the arancini, panelle, hamburguers and the fritto misto, all great and fresh. And the home made chips were amazing!

OK, so you go to Italy/Sicily for the beautiful scenery, great food, wine and culture - but we raved over a toasted sandwich? It was so hot one evening that we decided to have two drinks at Antica Porta Terra, close to Toastamore, to watch the people walk by and then go to Toastamore as the sandwich combinations looked interesting; Sometimes you just don't want a full meal when it is hot. There is space insiide and out and we were surrounded by groups of teenagers, kids and some adults (like ourselves) who seemed to be enjoying the food. My wife chose the IKEA Toast, with smoked salmon, and I had the Burger Toast - both sandwiches for 11Euro and each 18x18cm.. The service was quick, considering how busy it was, and the sandwiches were excellent. My Burger Toast was fresh, full of salad and filling; making it better than a standard burger as the meat was like a flat hash steak covering most of the filling, so not eating around the edge of the burger before chowing down on the mass of meat in the middle. My wife really enjoyed her Ikea sandwich and we wondered why we had not visited here before. There are options for drinks, fries, salads and sweet toasted sandwiches, as well as cakes and ice cream. Beers also sold for adults. Forty+ options on the menu - a great concept and very well done.

This pizza to go is incorrectly located on TA map. Anyway, I don't recommend to visit this place. We went based on other reviews and were very disappointed by the frowned waitress with an attitude, her lack of patience and the small choice of pizza really available versus the number of choices on the board. The food was average

Typical sicilian food: Arancine, Panelle, Crocchè di patate, Sfincione palermitano/bagherese. Very typical and very good
This is a little shop, tucked away in a side street serving local street food. As we were in Sicily we decided to have arancini which were delicious and eaten on the bench opposite the shop. A number of local folk called in whilst we were there which we took as a good sign - certainly we found the food very good.

La Gallizza, since 1970, is the place where to find typical sicilian food: Arancine! But also pizza and calzoni, lasagne or anelletti with bolognaise, tagliatelle, sfincione, pani cunzatu and many other typical food prepared with love, old grand-mother's
Firstly a big thank you to Kiara who runs this wonderful family business located just outside the main centre of Cefalu. We felt very welcome and Kiara ensured we had wonderful food and service. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun sampling the Arancini and other prepared dishes with a glass of wine or beer. We visited on the odd day, both day time and evening as it great to have a substantive snack if you dont fancy a full meal in the town.It is located about 15 minutes walk from the main part of town and you walk past the railway level crossing and it is about 100 yards on the left. Lovely place. Thank you to Kiara and her family.
